CBS will introduce more gay characters on its scripted programs in response to recently receiving a failing grade from GLAAD, CBS President Nina Tassler said Wednesday.

"I'm very disappointed in our track record so far," Tassler said at the Telvision Critics Association fall previews. "We know and we will do better."

Good to know I'm not missing anything by not watching the networks. What'll they do when GLAAD starts demanding more explicit scenes with all these characters? Roll over on that, too, I suppose.

It seems that tv is going by the wayside anyway, folks are more online now, than sitting in front of a tv.

I'm so glad that my daughter talked me into signing up for Netflix. We've been watching that old show Sliders and I'm getting hooked on Touched by an angel.

Next, they will want the gay characters played by gays. For realism and credibility. I'm sure.

Now I'm wondering about Rocky and Bullwinkle. Were the GLADD sanctioned?

I guess that it's not enough that they have their own personal station, now they want the rest of the stations to follow suit. It'll be no great loss for me I rarely watch the big 3 as it is.

My son-in-law is probably the gold medalist in flipping channels. It's so annoying when my DD, grandkids, and I are settled in watching something we enjoy, then he shows up, grabs the remote and takes over the tv without any consideration for us at all.

Frankly, I don't think giving perverts more positive spin will make TV any less appealing. TV hit bottom years ago. Even the cable stuff is aready largely compromising, brain corrosive drivel. I gave up on TV years ago finding it a major waste of time. Clearly, Christian liberty does not include freedom to amplify fleshliness. The time I recovered I put to reading, study and writing. I might wish all investments were as benificial.

Neither have I. I couldn't tell you what comes on CBS. I rarely watch local channels with the exceptions of local news, Chuck (NBC), LOST (ABC), V (ABC) and that's about it. I can't think of anything I watch on local channels


Oh just thought of one channel. Here in Alabama it's channel 21 I think. Shows many old movies and tv shows. I do occasionally tune in there when I think about it.

The only thing I can think of I watch on CBS is NCIS, and that is only if there is nothing else I want to watch elsewhere. I usually watch NCIS on USA.

I can just see them writing in a gay soldier who gets killed because of "intolerance" and the NCIS gang has to solve the case.

Yes I did seen this episode once months ago. Haven't watched since Sasha was "killed" in the cliifhanger episode.

Most of them was pretty good.

Too bad they aren't as concerned about failing grades from organizations such as Focus on the Family or Right to Life.

Well...we have 3 TVs all with 5 years of dust on them. Since we moved here we have had no TV signal of any kind. I refuse to subsidize filth and propaganda.We do have the net.
