Why did it take me so long to discover this RR site? It's been such a gem! Today is my first day here--I've been hooked on Breaking New in the end times, and Women's Corner. I should have come here a long time ago. You people blow me away with your knowledge that I know came from Him. Wow.
Okay, I am a single parent, crawling steadily out of major medical debt, focusing on raising my son with God as his Father, and no one else until God decides otherwise. He is 7 now, and my faith has been growing stronger. I yearn for the rapture, and try to hurry it up by witnessing to everyone that needs it. I have very little fear. But I try to witness more through my actions and love than with words. I am very upfront with my love for Jesus, and what He has done for me, but I never try to shove it down anyone's throat. I have just finished the entire New Testament this year, and have read most of the Old Testament except for Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Micah, and Naham. (I really had only skimmed through those when I was younger) I had brain surgery May 98, and love the new me! But just find everything a little more of a challenge. I am now witnessing to a recovered alcoholic, wiccan, man-hater who hates the idea of God as a man. We used to study together to become a Medical Transcriptionist. She is in my life for a reason. Can anyone here point me to verses that describe the feminine side to God? Or to the spirit side to Him? Well, time's short and I've got to run. Look forward to any input. Thanks and God Bless you all.

welcome to RR.

I don't know if god has a feminaine side. (okay I know I didn't spell that correctly.)

Welcome, deannabanana -- glad you're here. :)

We're told that God is Spirit (John 4:24). He is referred to in the masculine although He shows what would typically be considered by mankind to be both male and female characteristics.

Wisdom is sometimes spoken of in the feminine, Luke 13:34 likens Christ devotion and desire to protect to that of a mother hen, and there is references to what would typically be considered by mankind to be feminine characteristics such as birth, nurturing, etc.

Some other verses for consideration...

Gen 1.27
God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Gal 3.28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Welcome! I was actually led here by an invasion force from another website. That invasion force found itself quickly overwhelmed and retreated, but as I am one of the few Christians on that other site, I stuck around to mingle and share...

By your join date, you look like you've been around longer than me (this must be a resurrected thread)...
