The Bible clearly states that we should not read or participate in astrology (the observing of the times).
Astrology is an ancient heathen practise that leads to disaster. Our lives are not determined by the stars or movement patterns of the planets, our lives are determined by our reactions to situations that God sends our way.
The Bible CLEARLY warns agains the false predictions of astrology.
The Bible also condemns the practises of worshipping the sun, moon and or stars- and the "deities" or rather demons that are associated with them.

In Isaiah God sarcastically condemns Israel for their foolishly following these occult practises.


When it comes down to Magic, Spells, Enchantments, Charming, Scrying, Sorcery, Wizardry and witchcraft (wicca/neopaganism, hedonism, heathens) God's stand-point is very clear.

Research has shown that occultic magic is often fraudulent and a deceitful illusion... Otherwise known as counterfeit miracles. Manny many books have been written on this subject.
In many instances the occult (real) magic or divination are a manifestation of demonic powers, and the results of demon possession.
The power of Satan (Lucifer, the angel of light) and his demons (Also known as angels that have fallen from heaven- known by names, and worshipped by many); is limited compared to God's power, but this does not mean that they cannot harm anyone, kill anyone or do things that are above any human's limiatations. No, believe me- They can do many things that we would be astonished at if we are not true Christians.

To follow the path of magic (magick) is the wrong path, a path that ultimately will lead to your death- physically as well as spiritually. This road leads far away from God, not towards him. Over and over and over God denounces those who cast spells and practise witchcraft and sorcery. The Bible says that anyone who does this is detestable to God.

God even warns of the ultimate punishment.. these things are totally anti-God and not only that, these things are done in rebellion against Him.

Many of the ancient citizens of Ephesus practised the occult arts, and those who became Christians realised the error of their ways and had the first public book-burning known to mankind. The Burned their expensive books of magic (magick), Sorcery, divination etc. no matter what anyone thought of them; they wanted to be closer to God, rather than hindered by the Devil (lucifer).

The Bible even tells of how Paul dealt with a sorcerer and a false prophet who lead people away from God.


Divination, Fortune-telling, Mediums, Spiritism, Necromancy, Spirit Guides, Wizardry, Seances, Channeling and clairvoyance are also strongly advised against and forbidden by the Bible.

God warns that we don't consult these things but that we ask HIM what to do, where to go and how to live. These things are not gifts from God as some heretical teachers would have you to believe. These things are of Satan (lucifer/the devil) and over and over God forbids and advises against having ANYTHING to do with it.

The Bible even provides examples of the folly and failures of those who claimed the ability to predict the future. During the time of Moses up until and thereafter the time of Jesus (Yeshua) it was punishible by death to practise any kind of witchcraft within the Jewish community.

The Bible even condemns us looking for omens of signs to direct our lives. It is called an abomination and foolishness. To do anything other than this is detrimental to your health both spiritual and physical..
