How Do You Know If You're Saved?

Could ya'll help me out with something? My daughter is having a conversation with some friends at school. She says she knows she is saved and they say there is no way to know for sure if God has accepted you. Does anyone have any scriptures about this since I'm too brain dead right now to come up with anything? Thanks.:)

Romans 10 comes to mind.

10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Salvation is certainty when the focus is on what God has done and is doing, not on our "faith" or ability or how well we measure up to someone's standards or expectations.
