The revenge of the Ku Klux Klan

When I heard the secular jihadists at Americans United for Separation of Church and State had filed a lawsuit trying to block South Carolina from issuing vanity license plates that say "I Believe," it reminded me of the Ku Klux Klan.

Why would the actions of the self-proclaimed "progressives" at Americans United for Separation of Church and State make me think of the racist bigots from a bygone era?

It's very simple, really. You probably don't know that today's radical secular agenda promoting absolute separation of church and state was a movement actually birthed by the Klan.

wow, when I was younger, the Klan had a meeting not very far from where I lived and one of my friends was a klan member. I didnt really know the significance of it then, I was just a kid. It was kinda weird tho. I am glad she didnt hold it against me that I wasnt a member. God has protected me from much.

back years ago the clan DID do a few decent things. i knew of a few times the clan would "straighten out" a few guys that were drunks and had a tendency to beat their wives.

SO the clan would take him out in the woods and convince him to straighten his life out and never again beat his wife.

the BAD thing is though, the clan did MANY bad things to people who had done NOTHING wrong ! from what i know about the clan, overall they were evil and were full of hatred for black folks whose only desire was to live in peace.

i dont know mucha anything about the history of the clan, but ive read where the KKK was originally formed to run off the carpet baggers and skalawags that came around after the civil war to take folks property away from them, claiming taxes were owed on them.

somewhere along the line, the purpose of the KKK seemed to have changed, for the worse, and saw black folks as somekinda threat.:hanging

IMHO the REAL federal pressure came about when certain splinter groups took on militia roles and swore to eliminate threats from the government in the form of the "modern day carpetbaggers", especially when it came to the feds taking away their guns.

when i worked for the special unit of the SD here , there were other agencies interested in knowing about militria groups and wanted info from us too.

we didnt find any tho.:smokin

Nowadays the Klan hate anyone who is not White European. Most of all they hate the Jews far worse than African Americans.

IMHO what was considered "decent" back in those days DOES NOT justify hating ANYBODY. i was just a kid too and although i didnt know what they were about then, when i got saved was when i began to understand anybody that comes against jews will see GOD'S wrath.

MOF , when my GF wanted to join the masons, he was rejected several times because he was part jewish. that was a LOOONG time ago.
i didnt even know he was part jewish until i found out I am also part jewish.

TBH i was always told it was because his parents were german, and at the time there was a biggo "wipe out nazis" thing still going on and the masons wouldnt have anything to do with him because of that.

My mother's side of the family are German and they were ALL involved in the Masons, Eastern Star and so on.

I tried to get a school mate of mine into the Rainbow Girls (an offshoot of the Easter Star) and then they found out she was black and told me to drop it. They told me that "they" had their own Order and that their assembly didn't want to be the first one to accept a black person.

Sickening, so I quit. I only joined because my grandmother wanted me to. (I was all of about 12 or 13 years old at the time.) She saw it as a social club mostly but when I told her my reasons for leaving she said she was proud of me.

They wouldn't admit Jews or blacks back then. I made such a stink about it and called them hypocrites and bigots that the local assembly shut down. Most of the girls left because of these outdated rules and I had gotten most of the girls to stand up and demand that either they change their immoral rules or they'd all quit.

Well most of them quit. What's sad is that the organization was okay with closing that local branch down instead of changing the membership rules. :nope

And I used to joke that the fact that all the females had to wear long white dresses was akin to the KKK. That went over like a lead ballooon.... :didisaythat :Madgrin
