Just wanted you all to know that there are a few Churches out there fulfilling the Great Commission :) Little gal who has been going to my Church for the last year went up to the front and accepted Jesus as her Savior today. A young man who accepted Jesus as his Savior earlier this week will be getting baptized next Sunday. For the last 3 or 4 weeks in a row, someone has gotten saved at my Church or because of the witness of someone in my Church.

How about y'all? Are you seeing some of the harvest? It's good when the preaching and teaching is right on and God calls people in, isn't it?

God Bless,
mik

There are many like my church who teach that the responsibility of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ is mainly to be done to the lost by the believers. Is is the antithesis of the seeker sensitive movement allthough we are considered a mega church. We are to go out into the world and tell others of Jesus Christ. Once they become saved we bring then with us to our church and they are baptized. Many many more are saved throughout the week than actually accept Christ because of the preaching at church. The church services, even though invitations are given, are more about building the believers to be able to go out into the world again the next week.

Our church provides many opportunities to gather together to partner up and go spread the gospel.

My Church teaches likewise - and has many outreaches in the community, and we teach the importance of The Great Commission as a duty for all believers.

When you exit our church, just above the doors, there is inscribed on the wall the words: "Go ye therefore into all the world." I love it. It's like a gentle reminder of my "homework" for the week.
