If we come across a muslim, are we supposed to talk to him/her?

There are quite a few muslims that come into the store and I keep wondering if I'm supposed to talk to them.

Why not? Why would you think that you aren't "supposed" to talk to them? :confused

Only if your employer would permit you to witness to anyone -pagans, Jews, Hindus, Muslims, etc. If that's not an acceptable practice on your job, then don't do it or you could be fired. Many employers do not permit this because they see it as interfering with their trade. ;):

I smile at people. Sometimes though that offends those who think any woman shouldn't make eye contact with men.

As for witnessing I would pray that God leads you first. He'll present an obvious opportunity...

I agree with Barb ask your employer about witnessing.

What are we supposed to do when we encounter a Muslim?I suppose it would be really horrible of me to say "hit the dirt", wouldn't it? :D:

I'm sorry, I know that was awful, I just couldn't resist.

My pastor gave me this excellent idea. In Islam, there are 99 names for Allah. He said when confronting a Muslim, ask them if they know the 100th name for God. Then tell them the one that they are missing is: JESUS. It should get them talking according to my pastor. :):

remember the Lord loves everyone and his wish is that none should perish. With that said, if these people come regularly and you feel comfortable with them pray about it. ask God for wisdom and guidance, when the Holy Spirit nudges you, the right words will come out. It can all be done in a loving kind manner, when you have presented the Gospel, it's up to the Lord to do the rest.. actually it's all up to the Lord, he uses us as he wishes..if we listen.

I had an ex Muslim tell me eye contact between women and muslim men is not looked upon with acceptance.

So I think we have to be very careful how we tread.

Even in our own Country?

I suppose I will be one of them that are killed, I am sure of it.

Yes he lives here now. And he said Muslims here are no different than Muslims anywhere else. They all follow the same rules. (even if they don't all realize it)

Prayer can also be a positive thing to do, Sajarie. Maybe you won't be able to witness but praying for the right person to come into their lives to witness to them would sure be a good thing to do. :-)

I don't know what type of business you are in. :noidea I would personally be offended of someone started trying to preach islam (or B'hai, or Mormonism or :blabla) to me out of the blue. I assume that someone of another faith would have a similar reaction. Pray for them, pray about your responsibility to/with them. Pray for God to open a door to your witness if He desires you to speak with them about your faith. :twocents

I have witnessed to muslims before. I tell them the story of Abraham and how he was told to go up to the mountain with his son and offer him on the alter for a sacrifice. they believe this son was Ishmal and all good muslims know this story. I then tell them of how God stopped Abraham and how their was a substitute saccrifice of a ram in the bullrushes. The abraham sacrificed the ram because blood must cover sin.

Then I ask them where is their blood sacrifice today?

They go ashen as I tell them that Jesus Christ is the blood sacrifice. He is the ram in the bullrushes. And unless you accept Him you have no sacrifice for sin.

The Blood of Jesus Christ when spoke of convicts all men.
