John Hagee made a movie called "Vanished" that was made for people who were left behind. It talked about what happened but was in a movie format. Are there other movies like that? If so, could you please list the titles?

Left Behind and The Moment After are also good. I don't particularly recommend Revelations, because, despite the John Hagee and Jack van Impe video cameos, the premise of the movie is somewhat flawed. The message and morals are good, but it makes it seem too easy to avoid martyrdom.

Thanks for the replies! I'm just trying to find a movie that I can put with the material I have for my family and friends who might not make the rapture should it happen. I was hoping to find something that uses scripture to describe what happened and explains what is to come after the rapture.

The Thief In the Night series (four dvd, not Hollywood quality but great tools for teaching the rapture) Filmed in Iowa/Nebraska
The Left Behind I & II
The Moment After I & II
Six: Unleashing the Mark
Apocalypse Series (Revelation, Judgment, Tribulation)
The Rapture (1991)
The Gathering

Will look at the other movies I have at home on this very topic. They all are sort of the same but have a different twist to the storyline.

I have a few movies but not many. 2 of them are the Left Behind movie: one had no CC and the other do have the CC. But I prefer the full of 16 Left Behind books (adult) they are much better details in them. :nod

I was 13 years old when I saw the first one "A Thief in the Night", scared the daylights out of me. Today when I mow my lawn I still see the film clipping of the young man's mower there with the dog laying beside it waiting for his owner. I can see the melted butter on the driveway, the boiling pot of mixture the mom was making; hear the phone off the hook at the grandmother's house, and hear the radio channel announcer. I watched that show 37 years ago.

Have you been to Red Rock Dam? I had to go there when I lived in Des Moines for a short while. LOL

It was a weird feeling to be on that bridge, when I had seen it so many many years before in the first "rapture" movie I had ever watched.

The best films about the Rapture and Tribulation IMO are the THIEF IN THE NIGHT series (even though TITN IV: Prodigal Planet drags a bit). Dated painfully in the 70's and early 80's and no-budget, they tell a riveting story. Even younger jaded movie-goers are impressed.

SIX: THE MARK UNLEASHED is a bit intense by excellent too.

I found Left Behind I and II to be a bit slow.

The Rapture (1991)

This is not a movie about the rapture we believe in here. It is a distorted attack on what we believe. Furthermore there are scenes in this movie that no believer ought to knowingly expose themselves to.
