Too often, we have so-called "preachers" trying to sell their "prayer cloths" & "holy water," people like Benny Hinn "healing" people & the "Reverend" Pat Robertson offering financial blessings. You may ask, "what to these people have in common?" I say 2 things:
#1: you have to pay high amounts of money to get these blessings
#2: you can get the power & blessings of God through buying into what ever they are trying to hawk.

However, I'm reminded of Peter's rebuke to Simon the sorcerer, during a similar matter, when Simon offers to pay Peter for the gift of the Holy Spirit in Acts 8:20-23:
Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin."

Caleb, you are so right! These so called "preachers" don't know their Bible like they want people to believe. What comes to mind here is: God's word does not go "void". If the Bible was restricted to be in the hands of just those that have taken on the role of a preacher, then and only then would the people be blinded. But, PTL the Bible is out here for all people to have a copy of. We are told to study to show thyself approved. Thank you for posting this passage. My prayer is all people who are falling for these preachers lies will wake up and start studying to show their self approved. To challenge these men and women who are offering "prayer cloths", "holy water" for a price. In God's timing we are seeing these folks being exposed for who they really are. Sure more will fall to the sword as we get closer to the catching up of the bride. Amen!

There are prayer boxes too. Little jewelry prayer boxes on chains. Dunno what they're used for exactly other than to look at.

From what I heard, prayer clothes are biblical. But, the way preachers use it now these days, too much "what's in it for me" attitude.

From what I heard, prayer clothes are biblical.Sort of.

And God did works of power through the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin being brought onto the sick, the diseases were released, and the evil spirits went out of them.
(Act 19:11-12)

Problem with that is that the next few verses are usually ignored by those who sell the so-called 'prayer clothes'...

And certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. But answering the evil spirit said, Jesus I know, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you? And the man in whom the evil spirit resided leaped on them, and overcoming them he was strong against them, so that they fled out of the house naked and wounded.
(Act 19:13-16)
