I'm sure most of you have heard about the Kathy Griffin comment she made upon recieving her Emmy award in which she mocked our Savior Jesus Christ. There are members at the Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. that are standing up for our Lord:
"We, as Christian entertainers, do not take it lightly that the name of our Lord and Savior has been mocked, and in response, we took out an ad in USA Today to stand up for Him," the group said.
The group purchased a USA Today ad, for almost $100,000, on Sept. 17 to say, "'Enough is Enough!' The name of Jesus Christ should not be mocked, nor should those who love Him be slandered for their beliefs. It is time for people of faith around the country to stand firm against religious slander, bias, and bigotry of all types including Christianity!"
The Miracle Theater organization said: "Our attempt is not to throw stones at Ms. Griffin, or anyone else. It is every American's God given right to worship freely and to speak freely. We believe, however, that as Christians, we should not accept her mockery of our Lord quietly! What is shocking to us is how people tend to respond to comments like this about Jesus Christ. It made our heart sick to see people in the audience at the Emmys laughing at Griffin's remarks."
"It seemed that many were looking for a way to speak out on the matter. If we together stand up and say, 'Enough is Enough!' we can show the media that there are MILLIONS OF US that love our Lord! With a million signatures, together, we can remind Hollywood that this country was founded on the principles of God's Holy Word," the group said.
If you would like to join them and show Hollywood how you feel about the mockery of our Lord Jesus then click the link below and sign the petition:

As I said on the other board, I'll say here;
We have to be aware that as we rush to silence others, we are also rushing to silence ourselves.
Yeah, we'll get attention, but not the type we want. It will be very easy using this method to talk us in to passing the hate speech laws that other parts of the world have already passed. Then, those laws will be used to silence those radical, "hate filled", fundamentalist Christians that believe the bible is the literal Word of God and that Jesus is the *only* way to God.
After all, if you read it carefully, it’s talking about:
It is time for people of faith around the country to stand firm against religious slander, bias, and bigotry of all types including Christianity.”
I know it might look like it, but I’m not *for* religious bigotry. I *am* for freedom of speech however, which we still have (for the moment). Unfortunately, in order to protect my right to say that Jesus is the *only* way to heaven, sin is sin, and Islam, Buddhism, Mormonism, et all are wrong is to protect other’s rights to speech as well.

Amen :nod
Jesus Christ told the apostles that they will have to suffer persecution, false accusations, oposition, etc, now imagine how much more will He.
I believe it is something that reveals just how opposite the world has become towards the Gospel, and not onlythat but ought to make us pray more and live a Christ-like existence in order to make the cross of Jesus the only Burden to unbelievers, and not who we are, let our sanctified lives silence them, like 1 Peter 2:15 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=67&chapter=2&verse=15&version=31&context=verse).
KAthy Griffin's attitude can be compared to that of a Fool, just like Scripture says in: Psalm 14:1 NIV
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
I guess we just can't be surprised anymore by our fellow unbeliever, Satan hasn't changed a bit, being a father of lies has deceived many into all the PC stuff we have right now, that not only has it not stopped attacks on Christianity, but you can't denounce false teaching of the other religions.
as sad as it is, this is the Battlefield we are on, so let's grab on our spiritual Sword and use it!

It made our heart sick to see people in the audience at the Emmys laughing at Griffin's remarksPeople in that audience, and there should of been some, should have felt perfectly free to loudly boo Kathy Griffin. Perhaps most of the audience would have joined in if there was some with the backbone to take the first step.

:freaked Oh my goodness. I actually agree with you on something.
So now I take a chance and let everybody in on what the other side (Hollywood B-list person) has to say about the petition. It's quite illustrative. Scroll down, you'll see it. Just be made aware, 1) the page changes frequently so it might not be there for more than a few days. 2) The woman has a potty mouth. If you're really offended by that don't go there. http://www.aprilwinchell.com/ Prepare to have your toes stepped on, real bad.

Should we rather ponder at the pool of popularity in silence?
*This reminds me of something I read many moons ago at USA Today. It makes me GLAD some were not silent in the face of the hellish rants against Christ.

THE SHAM OF LIBERAL TOLERANCE (http://www.equip.org/site/c.muI1LaMNJrE/b.2783817/k.B3A6/JAL104.htm)
Liberal tolerance is a sham. Although portrayed by its advocates as an open, tolerant, and neutral perspective, it is a dogma whose proponents tolerate no rivals. Those of us who are concerned with presenting and defending our faith in a post-Christian culture must be aware of this sort of challenge, one that masquerades as open, tolerant, and liberating, but in reality is dogmatic, partisan, and coercive.
Although the Christian worldview is marginalized in our culture and considered dangerous by some, we cannot lose our confidence. After all, this is God’s universe, and He has made human beings in His image. We must be confident that when we unpack these undeniable notions that are “written on our hearts,” those who unreflectively and unthinkingly dismiss our case really do know the truth as well (Rom. 2:15). But this must be balanced with the knowledge that the human heart is incredibly wicked (Jer. 17:9). This tension will remain as long as we attempt to defend our faith in a culture hostile to the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus of Nazareth.

I don't see where I said or the petition said it is for silencing others. What I do see it doing is standing up for the rights and respect we deserve as a Christian religion and as Christians and for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She wouldn't have gotten up on stage and said the same thing about Islam or any other religion without catching much grief. So why should we be silent and let her mock our Lord and Savior....because we are afraid of what might happen if we make our voice heard! We are the body of Christ and nobody will silence us unless it is the Fathers will.

Kathy Griffin has all the right afforded her by the U.S. constitution to mock my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have the right to tell Kathy that if she keeps it up and doesn't repent she is going to hell.
Now I am off to see if she has a website where I can do just that.

I sent her this message.
Dear Kathy
Due to a recent comment that you made, I am very concerned for your salvation. Have you excepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Please ask Him into your heart if you haven't. Those who do not have Jesus are doomed to hell, and I don't want you to end up there.
If anyone wants to write here's the addy to her site
