I don't know how many of you are familiar with PocketMod (http://www.pocketmod.com/). But basically it is a unique way of printing, cutting, and folding a single sheet of letter-sized paper to create a mini 8-page booklet small enough to fit in a pocket. The original use was to create a pocket organizer.
I have gathered various pieces of information and created a Bible Study Reference PocketMod. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, purse, or a Bible of ANY size. ;): It is useful as a "memory tickler" for those times when you know there's a verse on something but can't remember exactly where. But it can also be useful for impromptu Bible Studies.
Here's my Bible Study PocketMod (http://biblestudy.percontifamily.com/library/PocketMod-BibleStudy-v1.pdf)
Just print it out and visit the PocketMod site for folding and cutting instructions.
I hope that it is useful to someone.

Thanks for the feedback! If there are PocketMods on specific subjects/topics that people would find useful, let's use this thread to brainstorm some of those ideas.

Could I suggest one on the timing of the events of the tribulation? Before and after the rapture. I know your first pocketmod covered some of this, it would be nice to have the descriptions laid out so you can tell others without looking up verses.

Thanks! That confirms something that I had been thinking about... compiling a PocketMod specifically for Eschatology.

Now you just need a 2nd page to go with it. Then you can feed the page through the printer twice to have both front and back printed :nod

I'm printing this out right now. Thanks for this. It is GREAT!!!:clap
Here are a couple of ideas for more topics I thought would be neat:
Creationism
Prophecies of the Bible ALREADY fulfilled (i.e. verses in reference to Christ's first coming that predated the event by many years) This is always a neat thing to share with people that question the validity of scriptures.

Could you do one for ea of these 3 positions: Pre-trib, Pre-wrath & Post-trib?:heh
I'm JUST KIDDING!!! :B:

hehe... yep. creating a 16 page PocketMod isn't difficult. As you mentioned, just feed the page through again for the other side. The question is...
Would having to unfold/re-fold to access the other 8 pages be a hassle, or is a traditional PocketMod fold/cut, staple spine, cut (attached page edges to open up access to those "hidden pages") approach preferrable?
the nice thing about unfolding/refolding is that it keeps things simple and easy to construct.
I'm designing a disposable PocketMod binder consisting of a single piece of cardboard and rubber band for binding multiple PocketMods into a mini book.

Excellent ideas! Our bible study group is currently going through a verse-by-verse, word-by-word study of the creation narrative and a dedicated PocketMod on Creationism would definitely be handy.
And of course fulfilled prophecies is a great reference/witness/evangelistic tool.
(for anyone on nutrisystem, I've created a PocketMod with NS information... just stop by my homepage -> library and grab it)

One for witnessing would be great, that tells the steps and verses and prayers.
How do you create your own pocketmods?

How do you create your own pocketmods?
Creating your own is really easy.... (at least for Windows users)
Basically, you create an 8 page document and feed it to a program that shrinks and rearranges them in the order that they are needed.
Find and install PrimoPDF (google it). (This is a free PDF creator tool that installs a new "printer" that "prints" to a PDF file rather than an actual printer... essentially it allows you to create PDF files from ANY application that can print.)
Visit the PocketMods site and download their PDFtoPocketMod tool.
Fire up your favorite application... OpenOffice, MS Word, whatever, and create an 8 page document....exactly 8 pages. Now because the final result will be dramatically shrunken down, you need to use font sizes much larger than you typically would. Arial 20pt or 22pt is what I use.
Once you've created your 8 page document, select "print" from within that application and select the "PrimoPDF" printer. That will create a PDF of your doc.
Fire up PDFtoPocketMod, select this newly created PDF file as input, specify your output file and convert. PDFtoPocketMod will shrink the pages down to 1 page and arrange and orient them so that they are correct.
That's it! They're fun to make... part of the fun is the challenge of fitting the information into 8 tiny pages.

The section on "Issues w/MODERN BIBLE Translations" could very easily be the subject of an entire booklet.
By the way, under the sub-heading "Significantly modified verses" you listed 1Co 5:7;
was that by any chance a typo for 1 Jo 5:7?
In any case, thank you again for this wonderful reference tool.
The two pages of Topical References are especially useful.

Thanks! I have made an update to the PocketMod. Version 1.1 fixes that typo and rearranges the topical reference pages so that they are on facing pages.
Here's the link: Bible Study PocketMod v.1.1 (http://biblestudy.percontifamily.com/library/PocketMod-BibleStudy-v1.1.pdf)
Since I cannot modify my first post in this thread, I updated the file on my site so that anyone downloading it will automatically get 1.1.
