Something end days ish? Judgement Day by Dave Hunt. He says it's his most important book yet, all on end days prophecy.

Have you read The Kite Runner (http://www.khaledhosseini.com/)yet? Both my daughters (ages 30 and 18) said it was amazing -- a real page turner, and excellent.

I think it is going to be my next book.

Gods Plan for the Ages - Dr. David Reagan. 416 pages and I could not put it down! Best of all it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. $15.00 well spent. I might add that this is an excellent book to start an unbeliever or a new believer out with. It has enough milk to be an easy read for a new Christian and enough meat to keep a seasoned Christian interested too.

Doesn't David Reagan hold a very unique and bizarre view of election and salvation security? He believes in conditional salvation except that unlike mainstream Arminians, there is only one chance of "keeping the faith". If someone loses his salvation he is on the fasttrack to hell.

Edit: The link to what Dr Reagan believes on salvation security is here:

Psalm 107

Dr. Reagan does indeed believe this and it is a point that I must dis-agree on with him. That being said however, I dis-agree with other teachers on some matters, Hal Lindsey, Chuck Missler, Jack Kelly, Dave Hunt, etc. come immediately to mind. However that doesn't stop me from learning from these very gifted and Spirit lead teachers. No mortal man is going to get it right 100% of the time... EVER!

1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

When I listen, watch, or read any mortal mans "teachings" I have to remember that we are all falable and I keep the two scriptures quoted above in mind. In other words...

Phi 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

I do not recommend anything by Rob Bell - Velvet Elvis or Sex God by a previous poster. Theologically they are on the "fuzzy" side.

I highly recommend The Way of the Master by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. Every Christian should read this book. It will either set you on fire for the Lord or save you. :nod

Right now I'm reading a great book from the Christian Law Association - One Nation Under God by Gibbs and Newcombe. Wow! Talk about learning about the founding of America. Just wow! :thumb

I thank you for posting these comments. I also, do not agree with EVERY thing or teaching or whatever, that comes from many of today's best-known teachers and preachers.... BUT, that doesnt mean they have NO good things to say and offer to us.....

I see a lot of bashing on this board, and castigating as "OH NO! FALSE TEACHER, STAY AWAY!!!" kinds of messages.....

I think that is plain wrong.

We are all humans, and we all make mistakes. I do not believe that MOST teacher and preachers anyway, are deliberately misleading any flocks.

There is good and bad in all of us, and we all make mistakes....
