UPDATE: Jesus tomb film scholars backtrack on their "claims" to validity
By ETGAR LEFKOVITS
Several prominent scholars who were interviewed in a bitterly contested documentary that suggests that Jesus and his family members were buried in a nondescript ancient Jerusalem burial cave have now revised their conclusions, including the statistician who claimed that the odds were 600:1 in favor of the tomb being the family burial cave of Jesus of Nazareth, a new study on the fallout from the popular documentary shows. ...
...now, even some of the scholars who were interviewed for and appeared in the film are questioning some of its basic claims
Shimon Gibson, who was part of the team that excavated the tomb two and half decades ago and who appeared in the film, is quoted in Pfann's report as saying he doubted the site was the tomb of Jesus and his family.

This overly hyped film was noting more than a slightly updated rehash of a so called " BBC documentary" made several years ago (again right before Easter) - one that was also widely discredited at the time.....

The paper also notes that DNA scientist Dr. Carney Matheson, who supervised DNA testing carried out for the film from the supposed Jesus and Mary Magdalene ossuaries, and who said in the documentary that "these two individuals, if they were unrelated, would most likely be husband and wife," later said that "the only conclusions we made were that these two sets were not maternally related. To me, it sounds like absolutely nothing:doh ."
Furthermore, Pfann also says that a specialist in ancient apocryphal text, Professor Francois Bovon, who is quoted in the film as saying the enigmatic ossuary inscription "Mariamne" is the same woman known as Mary Magdalene - one of the filmmakers' critical arguments - issued a disclaimer stating that he did not believe that "Mariamne" stood for Mary of Magdalene at all. :doh

Now that the damage is done....
....do you suppose that is a special part of the Lake of Fire set aside for those that purposely and publically work at trying to undermine the validity of the Scriptures, and in the process help carry others with them into hell..??

Exodus explained? / Film claims earthquake, not Moses, parted the Red Sea
By Amiram Barkat
A volcanic eruption on the Greek island of Santorini, rare geologic phenomena in the vicinity of the Suez Canal and archaeological findings prove the historical veracity of the Exodus from Egypt, according to the Jewish-Canadian filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici, who directed and wrote the script for "The Exodus Decoded," which was released last year and broadcast recently in the United States.
Jacobovici came to public attention with an earlier documentary he made ("The Lost Tomb of Jesus") in which he claimed that Jesus and members of his family had been buried in southern Jerusalem. Just as in the case of the Jesus film, leading experts have attacked Jacobovici's theories about the Exodus. The films were said to serve Jacobovici's personal beliefs as an observant Jew.
In an interview with Haaretz during a visit to Israel, Jacobovici rejected this argument.
"They said that I tried to prove the Bible in my film about the Exodus, and that in the film about Jesus, I tried to disprove the New Testament, but I just did my job:confused :doh ," he said.

Wait - it gets even worse...
Jesus film goes worse with Coke
Richard Owen, Rome
April 05, 2007
COCA-COLA is threatening legal action to stop an Italian film showing Jesus drinking from a can of Coke.
Seven Kilometres from Jerusalem, directed by Claudio Malaponti and due out in Italian cinemas tomorrow, imagines aChrist who lives and preaches in the Middle East in the 21stcentury.
Coca-Cola Italia has complained that the use of its brand image was unauthorised and unacceptable and likely to give Coca-Cola a negative image.
The storyline revolves around .... an Italian advertising executive ...who travels to Jerusalem to escape a mid-life crisis. He encounters Jesus.... in the desert near Emmaus, and offers him a lift in his Jeep.
As Jesus gets in, the executive reminds him to fasten his seat belt and hands him a can of Coca-Cola, which the thirsty Jesus drinks with enjoyment. "My God - what a testimonial!" the excited executive exclaims.

I've heard this one before. They also say that it wasn't the red sea but another body of water called the reed sea or reed lake (or something like that), which was only inches deep.
To that I say, AMAZING!!! God drowned the entire Egyptian army in only 3 inches of water...thats even a bigger miracle!....:D: :lol

"Film claims earthquake, not Moses parted the Red Sea" Doesn't the filmaker realize that God did the work from the get go and not Moses?
