Why do you think God loves us?

Why do you think God loves us?
I believe, perhaps, it is because He made us in His image (with spirit and soul) - and it pleases Him and brings Him glory.

Why do you think God loves us?
Why do you love others?
God created us for love. We are not just an aside of creation. We are at the very center of his creation because love is at the very center of creation. God is a living, thinking, logical and feeling being just as we are living, thinking, (sometimes)logical and feeling beings. Even if we are imperfect he loves us just as we love others who are imperfect.

Why do you love others?
Because I have gotten to know them and like things about them.
God created us for love.
You blasphemy our God when you say things like that. God is completely self-suffient and complete within Himself - He does not need us or our love. Moreover, he did not make us for love, but for His glory (Isa 43:6-7)
We are not just an aside of creation. We are at the very center of his creation because love is at the very center of creation.
Everyone in scripture who has been given grace to see God's glory asks, "what is man that he is mindful of us?" You, however, have a high view of man. I agree that God loves us, and loves us with an amazing and agape love, but I'm not sure why?

Why does he love us? That my question?

Because God is love. It is His nature to love.
Often it is heartening just to read the Gospels, to read about Jesus Christ, because you can just feel the love He has for us. Isn't it awesome the love and compassion he had for people. It is very comforting. Thank God He is a God of love!

I really don't know why God loves me, I just know that He does. We are just a speck of dust in the universe, why God would care so much for our pitiable souls, I really don't know. I guess that's what draws me to Him so much.. For God first loved us, that's why we love Him.
This is a good question...hmm

To the part I've put in bold above, that was an unnecessary statement against a member of the Body. If you disagree, fine, but telling a believer they blaspheme God because they believe God created us out of love is out of line with the rules of this MB, and you get a warning for that one.
1 John 4:8,16
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Why does He love us? That's like asking your mother or father why they love you. Sometimes it's just best to accept that love without reason or questioning it.
EDIT: Looking over your file, I see there have been other warnings for this type of behavior. This was your last chance. :wave

So if we were made for the glory of God then what part do we play in that glory? God could have created any number of beings without a "will" to shout glory to the lord. But then what would be glorious in that? In order to have love one must have a "will" and yet a being with it's own "will" has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt to be sinful and imperfect and therefor deserving of death. Despite all this God has found a way to create beings that can love and a plan for them to thwart death even in their sinful nature.
This is my experience and if i am wrong then God knows my ignorance. After all we can only work with the knowledge we have. I think not highly of man. God is great & perfect and man was dead and yet is saved by the grace and love of God.
Imho once you understand your love for others you can begin to understand Gods love for us.
Love is the entire reason we exist. If we didn't have love to offer, God would not have created us at all.

We were created to love God and for God to love us.
That is far from blasphemy.
In the end it is all part of God's Glory.

Thank you for :wave to this poster.
It always saddens me to see posts that only want
to stir the pot and argue, fuss and fight. It's unwanted
and completely unnecessary.
so, I :clap this action.
Thanks.
For the record, I think God simply chooses to love us.
There is no need to justify love. It simply is.
