Okay, you have -no- idea how relevant this is to me!!!! All day yesterday I was under some serious temptation, and all that kept being spoken to my spirit was that I loved God more than I love the temptation! I prayed, asking God for His Strength to be made perfect in my weakness. Every time the temptation came on, I would literally feel like it was being allowed to come at me so I could - just as you said - show my love for God by resisting.

As the day wore on, I was literally reveling in resisting it because with each instance, I knew I was, by the Grace of God, saying "I LOVE GOD MORE THAN WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO TO ME! GET OUT OF HERE!"

I really think God is strengthening me through these temptations. A year ago, I would have given in under the circumstances I was under yesterday. But I didn't - I wanted to show God I loved Him and trusted in Him for strength.
