i don't consider myself a new christian..
but, i have a significant disability when it comes to retaining information---i often forget and repeat things as a result--very frustrating---most of my posts are devoid any scripture whatsoever--and it is because of this disability---

anyway--this has been a HUGE obstacle for me in reading the bible and remembering where scriptures are for a particular issue. but, i don't want that to be an excuse..

i know that i am being convicted to read scripture--along with addressing unforgiveness in my life--considering all this---does anyone have a good bible resource that might help me? any particular study bible?

i am determined to overcome this obstacle/limitation---

e-sword is pretty nice.

You can download other peoples notes on chapters, add your own and download diffrent varations of the bible (king james, english, NIV, good news etc.)

I like and use 'Blue Letter Bible' a lot. I'm like you and have a hard time remembering where to find the scripture that I'm looking for.

For me personally, I can usually remember key words or phrases, just can't remember where to find them. :B: So this is why I like Blue Letter Bible. They have a great phrase/word search feature which is very helpful to me. They also have a lot of great commentaries, both written and audio by various Bible teachers/scholars that expound on various theology/eschatology points. Also a real good Bible FAQ. section. They have maps and charts as well. :thumb Oh, and most of the translations are available. :thumb

Maybe you can try getting an audio version of the Bible, and listen to the CD's over and over. You might have more luck retaining what you've heard over what you've read, especially if you hear it multiple times. Kind of like listening to your favorite song and memorizing the lyrics. ;):
