I know we will never become God but, I was thinking about Mark 10:8 and how that applies to Jesus and the church, since the church is the bride of Jesus.
Mark 10:8
"and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one."

I've often wondered about this too---there is a physical union between the bride and groom in a marriage. What does this mean, if anything, between Christ and the church?
Not being creepy, just wondering what the spiritual application is here.

We are the Body of Christ, and He is the head, so in that sense we are one flesh--we abide in Him, and He in us.

IMHO, we aren't in any way physically the bride of Christ. However, we are spiritually joined to Him through His shed blood. That is why when God looks at us, He sees Christ, covering us. IMHO, the physical intimacy in a marriage is what symbolizes the spiritual intimacy of our union with Christ. The imagery does not extend in any way to actual physical intimacy with Christ (not that anyone here feels it did, but I wanted to get that out there :lol). That is what I get out of the biblical teaching :):
