Choosing well

Greg Laurie
February 24, 2007

The pages of the Bible are filled with the stories of men and women who made choices that impacted the entire course of their lives.

Moses chose to help his fellow Jews over the fame and fortune of Egypt.

Joseph chose obedience to God over yielding to the intense sexual enticements of an attractive woman.

Daniel chose to eat kosher meals of vegetables over the unclean meat on the king of Babylon's banquet table.
Each one of these choices became major crossroads in the lives of these individuals. What happened in those moments of decision would set the course for the rest of their lives.

From the article:
As difficult as this idea may be to process, the choices we make in time are binding in eternity. We make our decisions … and then our decisions make us.

A very powerful and true statement.

Great article, thanks for posting. I love Greg Laurie!

I have two comments concerning this article. The first comment is that I thought the article was excellent and right on.

My second comment is that I have read articles of this nature before. I would like to read how to reverse those decisions in our lives that were wrong. In as far as spiritual mistakes, we can certainly repent and go in a different direction. Praise God for His mercy!:nod

Harder, as least to me, is how to reverse or counter other bad decisions that can affect our lives?

All in all, a good article.:thumb
