The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland sent this letter to the UK Prime Minister Tony Blair

http://www.churchofscotland.org.uk/news/nr530706.htm

"I write further to the letter of 13 July from the Convener of the Church and Society Council of the Church of Scotland. Since that letter the situation in the Middle East has deteriorated alarmingly.

"Yesterday I wrote to the Church of Scotland’s partner churches in the Middle East. I have also been in telephone contact with church leaders in Israel and Lebanon.

Well my Presbyterian Church would say that Israel has every right to do what it is doing and we should support them unconditionally while praying for EVERYONE involved. Of course my Church is a PCA Presbyterian Church and we've made a commitment to follow scripture--not humanistic, liberal politics--but anyway...

There is a very strong PC-USA here in my area. Bible believing. Ministering in a large homosexual community to bring men out of homosexuality. They lay on hands. The do seders for Passover.

They are a ray of hope for a church that seems bent upon Episcopalian-style self-immolation.

The Scotland Pres church doesn't speak for all of the presbyterian churches. It can only speak for itself. Following the politics and ideas of one dictatorial group as gospel is more an rcc thing. IMO

...JUSTICE FOR ALL PEOPLE IN THE REGION...

The Presbyterian fellow wants a ceasefire, and wants justice for all people in the region. Hmmmmmmm...he doesn't seem to consider the fact that it was Hezbollah who kidnapped the soldiers, and killed others to provoke this situation.

Where is the "justice" there?
