I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep contemplating world events and such when all of sudden I had an image or vision pop in my mind of Jesus getting up from His throne! It happened so quick and fast and my heart started racing! I actually opened my eyes and listened for the trumpet! That's how real it felt. It could have been a sign that things are near or my imagination playing tricks on me. I just don't know. If it was a trick why would my heart would race so bad? Anyway, that was my unusual exp. Any thoughts or has anyone else had unusual things happen like this? It was comforting because it reaffirmed my faith and salvation. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

It's funny you mentioned this. Something very similar happend to me the other night. I was in that twilight stage between being awake and asleep, when I heard plain as can be, "Christine, Come up here!" It was a definite command, and I sat straight up in bed, waiting to be caught up into the clouds! :clap After a couple of seconds, I realized that I must have been dreaming, and thought to myself. "How cool, he's going to call us each by our names". On another night, also in the last week, I thought I heard a Shofar blowing, it also made me sit up and pay attention.

I believe like you that God will call us each by name when He calls us up. What a wonderful experience that will be.

I think He will call us by name too. I just wonder if He will do it like my mama used to. Use both names like Donna Rae come up here. Lots of us go by both names, hehe, especially way down here in Dixie land.

My mom only used my middle name when I was in big trouble. When I heard her do that, I knew to come quick.

I didn't hear my name. :(: I just wonder if He was letting me know things are close. I am excited regardless. I still would like to hear my name, though.

I had a dream 3 months ago of being raptured. It was unbelievable. I thought it was actually happening. I was the age I am now and I remember where I was when it happened. Whenever I go around there now, I get chills...................

One time, a long time ago, I was driving alone down the highway and all of a sudden I felt an overwelming surge of love from out of no where that just made me cry. I do remember it was a pretty day and I was thinking of God but I wasn't praying at the time. Just driving and thinking how pretty He made the day. That was also very brief. Very cool though.
Sometimes I also feel very far away from the Lord even though things are as usual and I am talking to Him as usual so I don't know what causes that. I don't like it at all. That is what hell will be like I think as well as a physical torment. I would like to hear more stories if anyone wants to share. I've only had 3 unusual things like that in my life. The first one had to do with my dog:lol No kidding.

Maybe I should not wear ear plugs to bed anymore :lol I would imagine I will hear the shofar and Jesus' command even through the ear plugs.
I have never had a rapture dream or glimpse of the rapture but I did once dream that I was standing around a glass like lake. I fail to have the correct words for the way it looked;glass like is the best I can do. Anyways all around the lake there were people, of every color, race, etc... and I felt a overwhelming sense of peace and love standing there. Then we all started to sing praises to GOD! It was awesome. I cannot remember the words but I have never felt such unity and peace. Very fast dream and that is all I remember....
One other time I was driving in my car with my ds who was probably 3 at the time . It was a beautiful Summer day with white puffy clouds when my ds says very loudly and happy.....there's Jesus! I scream where and he says in the clouds..... I nearly drove off the road trying to see what he was seeing. I don't know for sure what he saw; if it was just a cloud formation that looked like Jesus to him or if he did indeed see Jesus...........

Three days ago I heard a LOUD BOOM while I was sleeping, sat straight up waiting for the trumpet to sound. Finally got up and looked around to see what that noise was and couldn't find anything. :freaked

You know, when I was a child and I had just learned about the stories of Enoch and Elijah and how they didn't die but were taken up to Heaven... I asked God if I could be taken up instead of dying... and He answered me by smiling and laughing and saying, "We'll see." I was merely a child then... never heard of the rapture or any end time events.
Later in life... I guess I was in highschool... after I had begun my study on the rapture and Revelation... I had a an endtime dream. In the dream, I was a child on this train (it was a toy train) that was going around this track. I stayed on this train going around the track while looking up I saw this clock about to strike midnight and then I would look up again and see Jesus with His arms outstretched towards me... all while I keep going around the train track. Later in life God explained me to that the train going around the track symbolized life and the clock and the sight of Jesus obviously symbolizes the end and the rapture.
The combination of that dream and me asking God as a child if I could simply "be caught up" to Heaven and not die... has always been very interesting to me. I don't remember much of my childhood and I rarely remember dreams... but I've never forgotten those two things... and I've always believed that the dreams you do remember and the memories you do remember are important... God is trying to tell you something ;):

Well I might as well join on in.
The other night as I lay in bed my mind was blank, I was trying to relax and all of a sudden this image of an angry lion roaring rushed into my head. I knew immediately it was the other side of the lamb of God. I mean it was the 2nd or 3rd day of the conflict with Israel and lebanon so it could just be my mind putting it all together...but it sure didn't seem like it. It caused me to pray immediately.:nod

About two nights ago I was sleeping deeply, not dreaming, and I heard a man's voice say my name very clearly and forcefully, "DAVID." It woke me up and I sat up in bed and looked around.

I had a similar dream about 7 years ago or so. I was walking to somewhere in my dream with my aunt......we seemed to know where we were going. Then we came to a place where we had to walk through these things that you see at a bus station, where you walk through them and push the arm with your hips and it counts you?? (I can't remember what they're called). Then all I remember is watching ship loads of people coming across the water and the water was glasslike, they were coming to this island or piece of land that we were on. On this piece of land were all kinds of people just standing around in groups waiting.....for something. Near the groups of people were large mounds (like the size of a small hill) of huge, beautiful jewels. They were beautiful and shining. There were hills of them everywhere. We were all just waiting. I remember the feeling of peace I had in the dream.

Having read other people's experiences, I have to throw in my own here.
I have had the name calling experience before, on a few occasions. The last time was maybe a month or two ago. So it is very interesting to me that other people have had the same experience, because frankly I was not sure what to make of it. (Dreaming? Auditory hallucination? God? Or Someone Else?) For that matter - I still am not sure what to make of it. (Why would God just call our names and stop at that? :confused Assuming, of course, it is God. :tin )
One thing that was consistent im my experiences was that I would hear my name (first name only, but then I'm a Yankee :laugh ) on one side or the other of being asleep (either falling asleep, or starting to wake up). The voices, I think, differed, but they were usually male, and they were always audible (not like you thiinking to yourself in your head). It sure shook me up, let me tell you! :freaked
After the first couple of times, I berated myself for not answering. What if it was God? :doh The last time I did - after my racing heart slowed down a bit. No response, though - which doesn't say one thing or the other.
I sure wish I knew what this was all about. :twitch
