I had someone recently tell me that God cannot be disappointed with his
children, because he already knows the sinful things we are going to do.

I've never thought of this before, but it makes sense to me. It also
encourages me, to know that there is an all-knowing God who loves me
so much.

I can say, "Lord, you must be so disappointed in me because of this."

And he will say, "Child, how can I be disappointed? I've known that was
coming for quite some time, and you are already forgiven. Go and sin no
more."

i don't agree with this, for the simple fact of this scripture.

"And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart," (Gen. 6:6, NASB).

i mean, i do think that God can be dissapointed in us, for the things we do, just like He can be happy for the things we do. but hey, we will always fail, and God knows that, we just have to get back up
thank God for God, haha

We can disappoint God just like a child can disappoiint their parents. We are born of God and nursed along. Eventually we get to the point where we take some steps.....one day Father gives us some responsibility and if we fail, He is disappointed and we have to re-learn something. He doesn't disown us, so much as we get "held back" because of our failures. It is important to note that we always fail because we're not following His instructions. Here is a significant verse:

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Rom. 8:14.
