She's been talking to this guy all through high school about Jesus, and how he died for our sins, etc. They run in the same crowd too, so he certainly has had the opportunity to hear the truth from several others, including his best friend (DD's boyfriend).

Anyway, at the end of June he went into the military (the Marines) and just a couple of days after he went in, he contacted the boyfriend and shared his news. DD was upset and she tried to tell him in a letter that the muslin religion was not a friendly one and that they do not desire good things for Christians.

Well, he wrote back and she got his letter today. He told her that "Allah" is the same god that Christians worship, only in a different way and that Muslims do not wish harm on Christians or America in any way.

Where has this boy been since 9/11??? :confused

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas or links that can help me help her how to respond to these statements?

TIA!

People always want to come to God how THEY want to come to God, not how HE wants them to come to Him. *sighs*

I dunno... maybe you can get hold of some of the Zola Levit shows where he had Muslims who were born and raised in the Islamic religion but later came to Christ on and interviewed them. Like Walid Shoebat, for instance. They went pretty indepth into the reasons why Christianity is better than Islam... and they're highly persecuted because of their conversions, so it's not a case of Chrisitianity being a crutch or just a 'warm fuzzy'. In fact, one interview with this fella named Ibrahim (something... can't remember the last name) had to be cancelled because his family recieved a death threat. They were both born and raised Muslims, joined with Muslim terrorist groups, etc... so they were pretty deeply ingrained in the religion and the culture. They both were very studious about their religion and wanted to be "good Muslims", very zealous--kinda like Saul before the Damascus Road incident. *grins*

I don't have web-site links, I found a book a few months ago at a yard that I picked up. It's called Islam Rising the never ending jihad against christainity. by Jim Murk, pubished by 21st centurt press. The book does expaining the difference between God & Allah, and how they are not the same. I'll look thru the book again & see if he has any web-site links. It's been just few months ago that I finished, and if I remember right he had some links in there.

Thanks for your responses. :hug

I'm suprised that with what is going on that there haven't been more responses to my post. :confused

This boy was raised in a broken home and his sole desire to go into the Marines was to become a sniper, to kill. Mix this with his new Muslim beliefs and I'm concerned.

Wow....how sad!!! All I can think of is to quote him scripture and pray for him and still try to remain friends with him. Such a sad situation...especially when he was presented with the Gospel already. Wow.
I will be praying the Holy Spirit will help him to see the TRUTH!!!

For the life of me I can't figure out where people get that Allah and the God of Christianity are the same. Even if one could justify the two Gods being the same. What do they do with Jesus. One has to believe and receive Christ to be saved. You have to be born again. Islam overs no salvation apart from the martyrs death. For Islam doesnt have Jesus and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Just believing in A God won't keep you from the flames of hell. Even the Demons believe. Somehow these people had to have convinced your friend that he didn't need Christ to be saved. I just don't see how. I will pray that Christ be revealed to him.

I would contact an ex-muslim who has become a Christian, they would be better at giving ideas of how to show him the truth. They will know what he has been taught.

He is a recent convert, in some cases those are the hardest to reach, but at the sametime he doesn't have all the answers yet.

you still have a chance to talk to him. His heart is still seeking if he just converted to muslim. But once his heart have hardened, It will be hard for him to leave muslim belief.
