Who is this person? I know I've read or heard the name before, but I just found an old book by him(her?) and another person on the rapture. Is he biblically sound?

Yes, Zola was a messianic Jew, and did pass a couple of months ago. His family is still producing his TV. show. Here is a link to his homepage, Zola Levitt Ministries, it will tell you all about Zola:

Wow, I didn't know he had died. He was my favorite teacher on end times back when I first got interested in Bible prophecy. He is home now.

Zola was AWESOME!!
He was preaching God's word RIGHT UP TIL THE END when he could barely talk anymore. He did have a VERY fast spreading cancer, but I don't think it was in his brain. It was very sad, I had hopes of going on one of his Israel tours this year, but it's also joyful--God saw his task was complete and brought him home!

I loved Zola, wonderful man and a wonderful teacher. You can see his programs on the net. There is a list of them on topics such as end times and also on teaching us about the different Jewish feasts and such.

Zola was an awesome teacher. For instance, on some of his programs, he would have interviews with jailed terrorists. It was interesting to hear what makes them tick, etc. He sure knew his end-times prophecy. He will be greatly missed.:(:

:thumbI was blessed to find Zola's ministry shortly after being saved 8 years ago. His teachings were like no one elses and I highly recommend them. When Zola died I wept and wept -- partly in grief, but mostly in joy knowing he was standing before Yeshua at last. :):

It was awesome how God gave him the strength and the will to teach til the end. He kept saying that he was not hurting very much (praise God), and he still looked good til the very end (he never got sickly looking or wasted looking like some do with advanced cancer). I've caught the programs a couple of times since he passed... it's just not the same.

I am pretty sure that it was in the Messianic Times.
Shortly after he went to be with the Lord I posted the info in the Prayer forum, if memory serves. But it was a couple months back now.
Zola was a blessing! His gain is truly our loss...but what a blessing to know he's not in any pain whatsoever now.
Shalom,
Matthew
