if you sin in your dreams does it count as a real sin?

Thats a good questian.
Our bodies and our souls continue to dwell in the flesh, our spirit has been renewed. Our bodies will be redeemed when Christ comes and calls us up. Untill than we will continue to sin, every day our soul and our body fights against our spirit in the flesh, IMO the soul never rests or sleeps at night, nor does our spirit, so IMO my soul continues to dwell in the flesh even when we sleep. So yes I seek Gods Grace and forgivnesseven for my fithy dreams.
Sin will end when He comes and calls us up.

I think sinning in our dreams is just an illustration of the weakness of our flesh consciously or subconsciously. We often sin in our minds anyway, so I believe it is still sin, however, it is also covered by the blood of Jesus regardless. :nod We should not allow the enemy to lie to us and tell us we are condemned for such.

I agree, our sin is covered by His shed blood and we are not condemned for our sin. I thank Him for His Grace, for its His Grace that will lead us home.

There was another thread on this same topic going some time back.
I have what are known as "lucid" dreams, where I am fully aware of what I am doing in them. I have control over my actions (not all my dreams but many). And when I choose to sin in these kinds of dreams, I DO believe I am responsible, and when I wake up, I pray and ask God to forgive me and cleans me from such filth. But for those who dont have these lucid kinds of dreams.... where u are just a bystander, experiecing stuff and have no control or say over it.... I dont see how.... though before bed each night, I would suggest anointing your bed post and pillow with oil and pleading the Blood of Jesus over youself. I get attacked a LOT in my sleep and dreams....
Satan enjoys attacking our greatest strengths, and weaknesses.... Put on the full armor before bed each night, if u arent already (Ephesians 6).
Peace!

Having sinful dreams just reminds me how in need of a Savior I am.
Thank the Lord I have one, because I can't even escape my sinful
nature in my sleep! :ballchain

Likely not because we have little control over them, but even if so--God is faithful to forgive us when we confess our sins to Him. :): However, it might help if, before you go to sleep, you pray for protection for your mind and heart... kind of put on your helmet of salvation and your breastplate of righteousness before you climb into bed kinda thing. :D: Pray for a hedge of protection over your thoughts and that God would guide your mind to think on things that are pleasant, beautiful, etc... Probably not watching something that causes you to think sinfully before going to sleep will help a lot, too. :lol
