Our young son is getting to the age where we are noticing that we need to teach him more about his body, puberty, differences between boys/girls, etc....from a Christian point of view.
What good books are there on this subject? I know Dr. Dobson teaches quite abit about raising sons.....does he have anything on this subject? Or anyone else?
Thanks for your help.:):

Dobson has a book on the subject, I think it is sold not just through CBD and his publisher, but also with Lifeway, Amen Corner, (And other Christian Book Stores), Booksamillion and Barnes and Nobles.
I don't remember the name of it. I didn't exactly like it then nor do I now (but I never cared for Dobson)...
There are others but that's the only one off hand I can think of that preps both parents and pre-teens for puberty

Are you familiar with the Every Man's Battle series?
They have a book called Preparing Your Son for Every Man's Battle.
With this book you read it first yourself, then go thru it with your son. He reads a chapter and then you have a little talk afterwards. I've done this with one of my boys and getting ready to start with the other. Click on the link for more info.

My local bookstore sells a book with this topic, but it is made by planned death...err, planned parenthood :(: . It made me very sad to see such a book. I am just glad that I am getting out of there at the end of the month.

Is the every mans battle series just for men and their sons or would it work for a Mom and her son as well?

I forget exactly what the introduction in my book says, Preparing your Son for Every Man's Battle, but it does address mother's reading this book with their sons. It's definately recommended. No offense intended but being a woman, you might find this book to be quite the eye opener. :nod It really is quite informative and sheds light on a lot of teenage boy's issues. I can't recommend this book enough.

I have some Christian recordings made from 78rpm records from the 1950's on this very subject. I would love to share these with you. They are very tastefully done. I can make a CD for you if you'd like, or send the recordings as mp3 files. If you want these send me a PM and let me know how to get 'em to you.
Record 1 - How Babies Are Born.mp3 (3.61megs)
Record 2 - Girls And Menstruation.mp3 (2.30megs)
Record 3 - The Problem With Growing Boys.mp3 (4.32megs)
Record 4 - The Marriage Union.mp3 (4.28megs)
God bless...
