I have shared this with my church, and my friends and family. I want to share this with all of you as well.

Last week, I had an awesome dream. I drempt that I was in a stadium- like a baseball stadium, except that it was church. The place was filled to capacity. The people on the field were worshipping God in all forms- singing, bowing with hands raised, you name it. I was so moved, that I wanted to worship too- so I got down on my knees and raised my hands, and the woman sitting next to me said, " we don't do anything. we just sit and watch." But I wanted too so bad, and so I continued, and a few(VERY FEW) others saw and did the same thing. Then the Lord spoke, and said, baseball is much like being a Christian. You can be a fan or a player. There are few players, and many fans. Being a fan does not make you a player, even if you know the rules, and the terminology, and love the game. you can cheer on the players all you like, but it only makes you a FAN. Are you a Christian, or a fan of Christianity? Then he told me to look around at all of the fans. There were so many, and so few players on the field. So it is with our church and people in the pews. So many fans, so little players. So the question today is, Are you a Christian, or a fan of Christianity?

That is the coolest description of the church that I've read in quite a while. Praise the Lord that you wanted to be a player!! :thumb Me TOO! :D:

I'm not American and I don't watch baseball so I don't understand anything that you have said. :D: Just kidding, good analogy and I do watch baseball myself.

Now for us who are here, is there a "Soccer and Christianity" dream? :D:

Joel, the same analogy would apply - the fans in the stands would be the fans of Christianity and the players on the field would be the true Christians. :):
