I was talking with someone who I am witnessing to on another board and I looked at a thread on if abortion was right or wrong. I said wrong, naturally, and gave my justification that humans are inherently valuable and it is selfish to just kill a defenseless baby. The response I got was one of the coldest things I have read. The poster claimed that because the unborn cannot do anything in the present for society, that they are fit to be exterminated. He claimed that the unborn was only worth the energy it took to create, that allowing a rape victim to give birth (if pregnacy results) was "rewarding the rapist" and that unless society can find a use for a person, they can be killed, mistreated, what have you.:faint :mad

Out of all the illogical arguments I've ever heard spewed in support of abortion, that has to be the worst.

This is the sickest thing that I have heard for a while. Definately not from a Christian person.

Imho, this person is to be pitied. That is not them talking, it is the spirit of evil, of satan. satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy. All three of those words describe abortion. How sad someone lets themselves become convinced that a lie is truth and that truth is a lie.:cry

We're in the "its all about me" and "anything goes so long as it doesn't affect my agenda" society. SICK!!

What is shocking is that many of these arguments come from the people I am trying to reach, the Asperger Syndrome community. I myself have AS and the thought processes that come from my fellow Aspies can be some to the most evil I have ever read, even extending to those with more severe forms of autism.:cry

That's really sad. I have Asperger Syndrome also and IMO it has helped me be a better Christian than what I would probably be otherwise. Jesus has been a perfect fit/help for me.

Some people like to spew garbage just for the shock value. Sounds like this person likes attention and has a very twisted value on life.

But even a child that is born can't do anything for society for several years. But if we kill all the unborn or little children, human life will eventually become extinct.....

You speak the truth, Andy. Good reminder of who is really behind this movement.

Edited to add: if only the useful are fit to live, then according to this person quoted in the original post, some of us are doomed because becoming elderly often diminishes one's usefulness (speaking from a strictly utilitarian worldview, mind you).

Sadly, they won't stop with the unborn. Next will be the deformed, the sick and dying. Then in the end it will be all those who do not adhere to their philosophy or religion; or lack of religion. :fear

Just the natural man doing what comes naturally to him.

If anyone ever wonders why sin is so exceedingly sinful to God, we need look no further than our own eroding society (here in America) to see the answer?

I also posted this http://www.hallindseyoracle.com/articles.asp?ArticleID=12773 and while most were angered by it, there were a few Aspies who congratulated me and thanked me for posting that. They have trouble reaching others in the community as well, so it was heartening to see that I had allies.:): I just got 3 new PMs from Christian Aspies echoing my sentiments on the other board. Boy, was that encouraging!:thumb
