This is one of my favorites and just wanted to share it with anyone who is either unfamiliar with it or to those who are - thought you might enjoy reading it again.

FELLOWSHIP OF THE UNASHAMED

I am part of the "Fellowship of the Unashamed."
The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line.
The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Christ Jesus.
I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future secure.

I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees,
colorless dreams, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.
I now live by presence, lean by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.
My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough,
my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, diluted, or delayed.
I will not flinch in the fact of sacrifice,
hesitate in the presence of adversity,
negotiate at the table of the enemy,
ponder at the pool of popularity,
or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I am a disciple of Christ Jesus.
I must give until I drop and preach until all know.
And when my time is up, He will have no problem recognizing me.
My colors will be clear.
AMEN, COME QUICKLY, LORD JESUS!!

Awesome! A Baptist church near us has this on their sign:

"An oak is a nut which has held its ground"

I love being a Christ follower. I love working for Him! I don't care about the world or what it might think of me.

Hi

This is not meant as a criticism of the author or you for I am nobody. I noticed alot of "I" and "I will". Is this possible on our own?

Again, please understand, no offense meant, I would really like to be this type of believer. Can we do or be anything apart from Christ?

Thank you very much for posting this. It really made me think.:wave

well, if one is truely a disciple, one's "I" and "I will" is not apart from the Master they are sitting at the feet of..

I understand what you are saying. I guess my question comes from the spiritual journey I am on at this moment. I am examining my motives and my walk, and to be honest, I don't like what I see in myself. In many ways I am ashamed.

Jesus see me as I truly am and that concerns me. I know I am saved, but He deserves so much more from me. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble.

Morgan, I am sorry if I derailed your thread. Back to topic. :wave

p.s.
btw, I noticed I used the I word alot.:lol

Not a problem. I (oops) admire your honesty and humilty. But you are right in your observation. However, it seems as though the author really is saying that he is denying self and living for Christ. So although the word I comes up a lot - it always points to where the I is focused.
Does that make sense?

I (there I go again) [that is really hard to avoid] :B: believe you are definitely on the right path in your search. It is the road we all should be on and it seems, dear friend, that it will be the struggle we all share until our race is run.

I am a part of the fellowship of the Unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit
Power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision

redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I am finished and
done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless
dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals. I no
longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or
popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised,
regarded, or rewarded. I now live by presence, learn by faith, love by
patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power. My pace is set, my gait is fast,
my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my

up until I've preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for
the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I must go until He returns, give until I
drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He comes to get
His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My colors will be clear for
"I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the
salvation of everyone who
believes…."
