Does hunger for God's Word always accompany the born again experience as far as you know? That was my experience, but don't know if this is typical or not. Thanks in advance!:):

Conversely then, if someone does not have a hunger for God's word, is that an indication of not being born-again?

No, because we do not know what God is doing in a person's life.

I admit that when I was saved I had this desire to learn all I could of God's word. And I learned a lot here at RR, searching daily to make sure these things were so. :nod

As did I. I couldn't get enough of the Bible and any other source I could find.

The reason I ask, is because my family is Catholic. I have been witnessing to a few of them. None of them has read the bible, nor seems to have any interest in doing so. I know I am not supposed to judge, but it concerns me deeply. However, I know I don't know their hearts like God does....so don't want to jump to conclusions.......I worry about them.
