Many of us have great testimonies, only by the grace of God!:nod

Let's see...I was on deployment for 8 months during Desert Storm and I found
out that my wife was saved during the time I was gone. Once I got backed
she talked me into going to church and two Sundays later I accepted Jesus
as my Lord and Savior. That was in May of 1991 in Virginia Beach Va. The
Lord has truely blessed me :thumb

The whole story can be found by searching in AG.
Here is the short version: My parents are both Christians. When I was 4 in school during the chapel service, the speaker asked if anyone wanted to meet Jesus. I accepted Christ that day. I've been serving him ever since.

Saved at 10 during vacation bible school at my church. I was raised in church and raised my children in church.

No interesting story here (which I do complain about, only to have the Christains with the "interesting" testimony tell me I should be happy about it).

For me, I feel as if I have known Jesus all my life. From my very earliest recollection I knew that I loved Him and wanted to serve Him for the rest of my life. I have gone through periods of time where I was not serving Him like I should, but He has always been faithful to me!:nod He has given me instruction when I needed it, discipline when called for, and peace, love and joy in abundance when I am in His will.

My daily prayer is "Come Lord Jesus!" and I look forward to the day when I can gladly cast my crown at His feet, and bow and worship Him and declare that He alone is Holy, and Righteous and worthy of Praise! Amen and Amen!

Anytime that someone experiences the saving grace of God is an interesting testimony. (This is coming from someone who doesn't think that he has a particularly "interesting" testimony himself)

Thru my husband and a friend. Mainly my husband.

We were in high school together and he gave me a challenge to find something in the Bible (I was Catholic) that I was taught by my old church and I didn't find it. He said, if you find it I will come to your church and if you don't, you come to mine. ;): :lol

The rest is history.

Im 16 now and 2 years ago i became a Christian. I used to hang around in a bad crowd on the streets and stuff. So where we were hanging this Christian couple would come and talk to us, and after i while I realised wht God had done for me, and i broke away from that crowd and accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour of my life.

When I was 10 or younger...I prayed alot that Jesus would save me from going to hell when I die.
fast forward to recent times...I have given myself completly to Him and have noticed His hand in my life even more!

I grew up in a christian home and attended chruch. I went to summer Bible camp when I got older and that always fired me up. Now a days I'm always fired up, even without camp!

I love Jesus and I can't wait to be with Him.

I used to pray that Jesus would save me from hell when I die; now I pray that I'm ready for Him when He calls my name to meet Him in the air.

My family never went to church when I was growing up. When I was about 20, I went to Cornerstone Church in San Antonio and John Haggee literally scared the hell out of me! haha

Fast forward to about 33 years old and I'm teaching my first preschool class at church. Well, we are playing a tape with children's songs on it and all of a sudden I realize that I know all the words to a lot of these songs. Come to find out, the only daycare when I was 3-4 years old in my town was a church daycare/preschool. That's the only possible exposure I could have had to those songs. So, for 30 years those songs they taught were just hiding in my heart waiting for me to catch up!

The preschool teachers planted the seed, and 30 years later Haggee watered it. Praise God for all you preschool and Sunday school teachers out there! And don't ever be discouraged if you ever witness to someone and don't see immediate results, those seeds bury deep in peoples hearts just waiting for the right time to blossom!!

I was raised in the church, baptized as an infant, attended Christian
schools - all that.

I guess it took 911 for me to get serious and I examined my life and
asked JESUS into my life, I had an overwhelming desire to get baptized
as an adult and did so on 10/21/2001.

That was a huge deal for me because I would rather crawl under a rock
than to get up in front of a congregation and have all eyes on me.

The fact that Jesus saved you is a Miracle in itself, You are paid in full, and were paid with a great price! The blood of Jesus! That is a testimony!:clap

I wrote a true story about how I came to know the Lord that I titled 'My Journey To Jesus'. The following is a small portion pasted from that story:

My Journey To Jesus:

Then one evening when I was 15 years old, something changed that would transform my life forever. Our church had invited an evangelist to preach a short series of special evening services. At the time I didn’t know why, but I decided to attend one of those services. Shortly before the service began, I entered the Sanctuary and slipped unnoticed into a back row. The church was small and perhaps only 15 or 20 people were there for the service that night.

For the next hour or so, that preacher told us about a Holy God and how much He loves each one of us. He told us how each of us was born in sin, eternally lost and not worthy in God’s sight as He cannot look upon sin. The preacher told us about Jesus, who He is, and that He came here to teach us and show us His plan of salvation. Jesus suffered and died on the cross to pay the penalty for, and carry the burden for all sin including mine, if we would only believe, confess our sins and repent, and accept Him into our heart as our Lord and Savior. The Bible calls that becoming ‘born again’. He also told us that Jesus would return one day to judge all mankind. On that day if we didn’t truly have Jesus in our heart and life, then we would fall into God’s terrible judgment and would forever be separated from Him.

I also learned that it didn’t matter how bad we’ve been or what we had done in the past. God promises in His Word that He will forgive us of all those things if we only ask Him and choose to accept His plan of salvation. Even though our sins are as scarlet, they would be washed whiter than snow. Our sins would be buried in the deepest sea to be remembered no more. The Bible tells us that when we become born again, we are washed clean by the blood of the cross and we then become new creatures in Him.

Even though I had heard most of those things before, on that night it seemed the preacher was talking directly to me. I was growing very uncomfortable listening to him. Over the past few years I had been involved in some very bad stuff. I had never confessed my sins before God, never asked Him to forgive my sins and had never deliberately invited Jesus into my life. In that moment, I realized I was a lost sinner and needed Him to save me.

Near the end of the service, the preacher asked everyone to bow their head and close their eyes. As he was praying, he asked if perhaps there might be someone there who knew they were lost in sin, that they needed the Savior in their life and perhaps they were ready to invite Jesus into their heart. If so, would they please raise their hand so he could meet with them at the end of the service.

At that point my heart was pounding and my hands were sweating. I could feel and hear God speaking to me. I truly needed to be born again through God’s saving grace. I raised my hand. After the service when I met with that preacher, we prayed together and he led me to the Lord that night. I just praise God and will forever thank Him for changing my life!

I came to know Jesus Christ when I was 9 years old.

Back in that day, my family went to a small church of 90+ members and the preacher was on fire for the Lord. I remember it was Thursday night during revival. My heart burned with the notion of going up front for the alter call but I could not do it alone. I was extremely nervous but I knew what was happening. My Dad leaned over to me and whispered in my ear, “Do you need someone to go up there with you?” I simply replied with a yes. My Dad and I walked up front and on that, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. During that prayer, my Dad cried with joy.

I was raised in a southerb baptist church. Went forward to 'accept Jesus' and be baptized at age 11.

At age 14 I quit going to church cause I was having more fun drinking and smoking and doing drugs.

At 20, I started thinking about death and dying and was afraid i was going to go to hell when I died. One day, while I was watching a toddler, I was really really depressed and scared about dying, and was pondering in my mind, how can I know what will happen when I die. This little girl, came to my side of the room, looked me in the eye, and said "read Bible". SHe smiled and walked away to play. :freaked

Fast forward 7 years....

(in my late 20's, still dealing drugs.. married my drug dealer when I was 20), had 2 little kids.

DH got transferred out of state. We decided I would quit my career, and stay home AND we would take the kids to church every SUnday!

3 months into every SUnday church going, and 3 churches in, we heard a WONDERFUL sermon on Eph 2:8 and 9 and realized we were sinners on our way to Hell!

We committed our lives to CHrist and were transformed into new creations!

Our desire for pot was gone, and even alcohol desires went away over the years.

It's been 18 yrs..
