I know it's probably silly, but I have a bad feeling about even going in the place. A few years ago, a friend and I went into the local New Age bookstore to just see what kind of things they had in there. You could instantly FEEL the spirit of the place. It was totally creepy. You could just tell that there were evil spirits in there or something. We only stayed a minute.
I'm concerned that this place will be similar. Am I overreacting? I wrote a letter to her teacher, asking if she chose the place because it was her church (so that I can determine how best to talk to her), but haven't heard back yet.
Is it silly to be nervous?

IMO, its probably a bit silly to be nervous before there is a reason to be concerned.
Tell your daughter to 'blow them all away'. :D:

I wouldn't worry about it personally. Nothing can happen that God doesn't allow anyway, right? :):

Yes, overreacting. Do you go to the grocery store or to the mall? Any place you go there are probably evil spirits or new agers. God is our protector. He goes in front of us and behind us and beside us. There is nothing to fear.

Am I overreacting?
A little bit. For Christians it's natural. Any "church" that claims to be Christian and denies the divinity of Jesus is creepy, IMO. I remember attending a wedding in a Unitarian church and the name of Jesus was never mentioned.
Is it silly to be nervous?
Depends. Nervous for your daughter's performance? That's not silly. Nervous about entering the building? Silly. You have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of you to give you strength and discernment. It's a musical recital, not a meeting of the Jesus Seminar!

The surroundings may be creepy, but you are protected by the Blood of the Lamb. :clap

It is just a building, but Satan could be lurking anywhere...if it was not religious in nature...then it was just a building... remember, the church is the people. I would not attend a service there...sounds like they're reaching out. So many people are not aware of differences in "churches" and it may have been out of ignorance...or......the teacher may be agnostic...or a member or whatever. This day and time, education is a croc... for the most part. There seems to be ulterior motives for everything this day and time...and educational teachers get worse the older, the children... there are many pitfalls..so I would not look back, but keep your children looking toward their Jesus and the Bible, not what teachers tell them. I'm afraid this education is up to the parents... not the schools, since the Bible and anything of It's nature is taken out....about the only thing you could complain about would be it was a religious place, then...that could have repercussion that might hurt something else that might come to pass against the ACLU etc...everything's so out of focus...just think everything through thoroughly before you act. Things are getting shakier everyday.
