Did Israel win the 6 days war in 1967 on the 9th of Av? Did Israel sign the Oslow Accord on the 9th of Av?

Not sure. I'd have to go check.

Interesting fact: July 4th, 1776 [our nation's birthday] fell on a Jewish fast day.

The 17th of Tammuz, otherwise known as the 'Fast of Tammuz'. Many bad things befell the Jews on this day - most notably the first event: Moses came down from the Mount, broke the tables of the Law in response to seeing Israel whore herself before the golden calf.

From what I can tell the war ended on June 10th, 1967. That day was a Sabbath, the 2nd day of Sivan.

Six day war was in June, month of Av usually July/Aug/Sept of the year. So, no. Closest Jewish holiday was Pentecost (Shavuot).

Oslo Accords signed September 13, 1993. Month of Av that year was July/Aug. So, no again. The Accords were finalized on August 20th but that is also a different Jewish month - Elul.

Oslo 2 was signed in September, 1995 but that was the month of Tishrei.

I guess if you look at enough accords that go along with Oslo you might hit the month of Av sooner or later. :):

HebCal (http://www.hebcal.com/converter/)- convert Gregorian calendar dates into their Jewish equivalent.

For example, September 13th, 1993 = 27th of Elul, 5753

or you can get kaluach to keep on your computer. it goes forwards as well as backwards... it's free and works with Windows. www.kaluach.org

It shows the Gregorian date as well as the Hebrew date side by side.
