Jesus is God in the flesh. :nod
God has shown Himself to us in ways we can understand. He is our Father, He is our Savior (Jesus), He is always with us (Holy Spirit).
Yet, Jesus said He and the Father are one. He said He would never leave or forsake us and the Holy Spirit was given to us. No one can take us out of His Father's hand and no one can take us out of His hand.
It's impossible for our minds to comprehend God, but we know Him personally through Jesus. Hmmm, mind boggling...
I await with you to hear others. I can beat you with verses, but I'll give you just one for now:
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Father ~ mighty God, everlasting Father
Spirit ~ Wonderful Counselor
Jesus ~ son given, Prince of Peace during the 1k year rule.
Every aspect of God is reveled in Jesus Christ.
He is God because only God can give eternal life, can forgive you, can raise you from the dead. Only by His name can you be saved.
When praying you can address Him by Jesus, Father, Father God, Savior, Redeemer, Deliverer, King, and Lord. He will hear you. :nod
Any help, or just more confusing? :B:

Glad that helps. I am the type of person that had trouble concluding that Jesus is God so whenever I read the Bible I pay special attention to that sort of thing.
Think of this, the Bible is God's word to us and Jesus said the scriptures testify of Him. That's awsome!
John 5:39-40 (Jesus speaking) You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

The way I read it once, is that we pray IN the Spirit, THROUGH the Son, TO the Father. They are all, in nature/essence, deity.
I myself usually start out by speaking to my God in heaven, Your Son Jesus Christ at Your right hand interceding for me, and the Holy Spirit that You have given me, living within me ...

Jesus Himself prayed to His Heavenly Father.
Jesus is our example, He said when you pray, pray like this " Our Father Who art in Heaven. He never once said when you pray, pray to Me. He always said to pray to The Father.
When we start praying to others, other than God the Father we will always be confused. Thanking God the Father for sending His Son is one thing but praying to the Son, we are not told to do.

Every thing that we do, we should do in the name of Jesus, if we do things that wouldn't be in the name of Jesus, than we problebly shouldn't be doing that thing. Praying is one of those things that should always be done in Christ, its because of Christ that we can pray to God, our Heavenly Father and have Him hear us.

John 10 & 14 is are very good chapters to read Miiiiki
Here are some scriptures that should help you:
10:30 I and My Father are one.”
14:5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
19 Because I live, you will live also.
20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

Don't be ! :): Your'e learning!! Ask the Lord to grant you wisdom, understanding and insight as you read and meditate on the Word of God...A MUST for everyone, especially in these last days.
When you pray 'in the Name of Jesus' or 'in Jesus' Name' you come by the authority of the Lord Jesus. You are not coming in your own authority. For example, in 1 Sam.17:45 we see that when David fought Goliath,
he said to Goliath, "in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied".
Praying, believing and stating 'in the Name of the Lord of hosts, gave David the authority and ability to fight against the giant Goliath…and win. The authority came from God. It was not 'in the name of David' so to speak that gave him the authority & ability. It was not in his own strength that David boldly spoke to and defeated Goliath.
But people were addressing and calling on the Name of the Lord from the time of Genesis. The first recorded scripture we find of people calling ON the name of the Lord is found in Genesis 4:26 To Seth, to him also a son was born; and he called his name Enosh. Then men began to call upon the name of the LORD. Here they were not praying 'IN the name of the Lord', they were calling ON the Name of the Lord. They may have been praising the Name of the Lord or calling On the Name of the Lord so His Presence and Protection would be upon them.
In Psalm 8:1 the Psalmist, David praises the name of the Lord – O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Paul tells us in Romans that if we call upon the name of the Lord we will be saved. Obviously from a pure heart. (vs 9) Romans 10:13 reads: for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
It's perfectable acceptable to Pray in the Name of Jesus as well as to address the Lord Jesus directly.
In Acts 7:59 as Stephen was being stoned to death it reads "They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" :thumb

found the answer to my question
John
16:17 Then said [some] of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
16:18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
16:19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
16:21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you.
16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
