Mustard Seed Faith in a Great God

Prior to being Born Again I used to plead with those I thought were Christians why doesn't my life go better. They would tell me that I needed to have more faith. I always wondered how I could get more faith. I felt like such a failure in life and to God.

I thought, I don't have enough faith so God cannot use me or work in my life. I had given up hope.

Then, I heard a great presentation by Dave Hunt where he explained that it is not the size of our faith but who we put it in. It isn't what we are capable of by how much faith we can manifest, but who we have faith in and if we trust Him.

My tiny faith - that which I gave to Him - was very tiny but I gave Him all that I had - not in myself but in Him. He returned back to me the greatest faith I have ever known.
Now my faith in Him allows me to have no fear or worries. His yoke is truly light.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same understanding - that it isn't the size of our faith but who the faith is in?

In listening to some of the things on the radio and television it seems as though they are always trying to have us reach inside for a greater faith. I didn't find it there and it was a sad road.

Just thought I would throw this out there in case anyone else had thoughts on this.

to many teach people to have faith in their faith,
it does'nt work that way.

:dancing Thank you! I have a hard time finding people who understand what I mean. They look at me like I have left the planet. And, as a citizen of heaven now, I guess in some ways I have.

Putting all my trust and faith in an unseen God makes no sense to anyone who does not have the Holy Spirit as their pilot.

I have always believed that, and still do. That's why Jesus said "Have faith in God."
