Okay heres whats happening, like I said before I have a bad problem with porn but this morning I've decided to take the first step by taking all that is on my harddrive and moving it to somewhere where I won't be tempted to look at it. Why not just delete it? I feel that if I just delete it, it would make the temptation too great to resist. I'd rather have it somewhere where I can think about it and just say no. Sorry if that makes no sense.
Now I have abit of a delema here as alot of this porn I have is art and I wanted to know weither a tasteful nude pic which is made to convy beauty and not lust is okay to keep, I happen to be a artist so I have alot of these pics which I keep because they are beautiful and not because they have a nude in it. Is there any difference or am I only kidding myself.
Anyway I am hoping by doing this I will not only better my relationship to God and Jesus but also build up my self-esteem as it is pretty low.

Delete the Porn.

Keep the Art and Delete the Porn.

Keep the Art and Delete the Porn.

Delete porn, if the art gives you lustful thougths get rid of the art.
even if you didnt delete the porn the internet has pleanty so you can still look at it, even if you do delete it.
You have to take a true stand, but only you can do that. Youcant give the devil a foothold, porn is sinful, no reason to keep it if you truly want to turn this over to the Lord.

Intent is important but it does not override your personal feelings. If a piece of nude art helps you to fall, even in the slightest, then get rid of it all. Radical amputation, I believe, is the term that many use. If a picture of a sunset causes you to stumble, get rid of all of them, too. Whatever will help you stay on God's path.

IMHO, this is about obedience. Does God want you to delete it, or does He want you to just put it somewhere where you can think about it? He wants you to take EVERY thought captive to Christ.
In my experience, I have never found that doing things halfway achieves the results God wants for me. If you're in, you're in...go all the way :):
Regarding the "art"....if it is something that you would use in place of the porn because you are able to justify it (and from your post, that sounds to me like what it is--a justification to keep it), then you need to toss it. The determination isn't whether it's porn or art. The determination is how you are going to think and feel when you look at it.

Agreed. Delete the stuff. Do the search function from the start menu (right click), that way you catch it all. :thumb
If the art will cause you to lust (it may not), then that goes too.:nod
The temptation that will come is to get more of it. That will be the temptation to resist which will make you stronger in the Lord. Pray whenever the temptation to download nasty stuff comes. Whatever you do, don't fight the temptation on your own. You'll lose eventually.

Here is a womans view on porn. Delete it! My marriage was almost destroyed by my husbands porn addiction. He went from looking to porn to talking to people online at some of the worst sites I have ever laid eyes on. It was heart breaking enough to come across the porn but then I read the terrible thing he was saying to other woman and things he was saying about me. He said he was sorry and he didn't mean all those things he said about me he only said them so he could get them to talk to him. He was trying to meet with them and if he told them that i was a good person who wasn't doing anything wrong he might not get them to see him. It was devestating. Are marriage is o.k. now but If something was to happen to you would you want anyone to find these things on your computer? I will pray for you. God Bless

When I said 'Intent is important', I meant in both directions. The intent of the Artist and the viewier of the Art effect the impact of the viewing.

I'm not married and have never even been on a date really, as for people finding the stuff on my computer I have never worried about it cause everybody already knows whats on my computer, and I know what you are talking about with the chat thing, I am pretty bad in that aspect as well so I am going to give up that as well and I guess I'll find out if the people I talk to are really friends or if they are just talking to me to get a thrill.
Good points.

Conserning the art, I can make the distinction weither I keep a piece because its lustful or weither I keep it because its beautiful as a picture. I know right now that anything that contains a male nude in it has to go cause I know its pure lust talking but with the women its different at times as tasteful nudity can be non-sexual in the right context and enhance the beauty of the pic as a whole.
As for deleting the porn, you are all right about that, it should be gone so not to come to mind

The thing is if you have a problem with porn, the temptation will come back cause it is a strong hold satan has.
What you need to do is put on the Full armor of God, cause those firey darts will be flying your way. Satan hates it when someone is giving up a stronghold and decideds to go to Jesus with the problem. It will be tough, but you can make it through it.
Also adam and eve were givin clothes by God, they were ashamed. I think the only place human nakedness really needs to be viewed is husband and wife, enjoy the beauty there, looking at naked people even if they are made up just dosent realy have any value? spiritual wise.
