Hello,
I have to start back on nightshift tonight and want to ask for some advise in regards to one of my guys on my team.
He is a Canadian native and states that he is a Christian, but he has also stated that he uses the sweatlodges on his weekends off and takes part in things with a medicne man. I pray for him every day and I also pray that when he come to my office that he leaves his "luggage" outside of the door and don't bring it in to my office.
It is hard to say how far into it he is but some nights, the way he acts and the way he talks, myself and other Christians sit back and wonder what has ahold of him.
Don't want to offend him or his native background but believe that he is balancing on a fence being tugged both ways and we would really love to see him give all the native practice up and just walk with God alone
Looking to help this young man before he gets in to deep any advise will be welcomed.

Have you told him that these things he's doing are of the devil? If so, what does he say?
Aside from verses that deal directly with prohibiting witchcraft or magic or calling on spirits, etc. - there are really lots of verses that talk about GOD being jealous and how we cannot serve GOD & Baal or GOD & money, etc. Also, you could use verses that say Jesus is the only way. You should make a list of these verses & approach him with several other believers and start talking to him about these things. The faster you can pull him out of such demonic activity the better.
Let me know if you need help finding the verses....I have to look them up but I will gladly do it if you don't know what to look for or don't have the means to do it.

I did mention to him last time before he left for a week to see his daughter. That is where I heard he was going to the sweatlodge, he told me and I told hime that it wan't a good idea. He tossed it around in his head, but after he came back he did not out right say he went but dropped hints as to going to it.
You mentioned can't worship God and money, glad you brought that up, that is another big problem and not just with him. He is into the stocks big time, that is mostly what he talks about and he is getting the other non-Christians into it. The whole office complex is into the stocks both nightshift and dayshift. You can see how the love of money is breaking down what was to great team to work for, but lately most people reather be on the stock web page than anything else.
I prayer every night before work to have all evil removed from the office before I arrive and throughout the night I prayer because i can see that the evil is brought back in.
I do not fear the evil, I just want it out so that the unbelievers can hear the talks we have in my office and come and join in with us.

If it were me, I'd talk to the guy about Christ when the opportunity comes up, rather than simply confronting him over his current activity being satanic or black magic. If he sees himself as being "religious," he's probably not going to be open to seeing it as "demonic." If you begin by calling what he's doing as his religion demonic, I'm not sure how receptive he's going to be to what you may have to say about Christ. He may just turn you off.
On the other hand, God's word is living and active. Use it and talk about Christ, pray for him, and let God work in him as He uses you to speak and care about this guy.
I wouldn't worry about the guy's luggage affecting you. Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world :):
Just my two cents :):

Thank you for your reply,
I agree with you in some matter but working with this young man I found that you have to be very direct in all that you talk to him about.
Here another question to ponder, we were talking about the book Revelation and he striaght out said that my option was wrong and I did not know what I was talking about. I told him that the Bible presants itself differently to each person but still would not agree with me and still believed I was wrong. I am thinking that this was some of the "luggage" that happen to appear in the office when he was there.

It doesn't sound like he's saved. He doesn't appear to believe the bible's account.

Thats the way I am seeing it. He wants to but the "luggage" seems to have a tight hold on him.
