View Full Version : Landmark Baptist?

Does anyone know anything, or perhaps attend, a Landmark Baptist church? I know that Landmarkers split from the Southern Baptists, but that is all I know.

For the record, I grew up Southern Baptist, and have since left because I cannot agree with the direction most SBC churches are going, at least in our area. We've been attending a CC that is really nice, but we just don't really fit there, and haven't felt God call us to join there.

There is a new Landmark Baptist just down the road - they've bought a house that they are meeting in. We thought of going, but don't really know much about this particular type of Baptist.

Thanks!

Most churches who have left the SBC, around here anyway, are extremely liberal.

That has nothing to do with the SBC, as it is not a governing organization. SBC churches are all self-governing, independent entities. Maybe there's a shortage of conservative churches in your area.

What you saw was probably "Landover Baptist Church"
Not a legitimate Baptist site.

Having grown up SBC, I know :): . I'm referring to the PDC/seeker sensitive/church growth movement, which nearly every church, including one CC, is into right now :(: .
