How come no "mainstream" or "regular" churches have public reading rooms like Christian Science reading rooms?

How come when you go to the religion section of a public library there's always plenty of books available about the Jehova Witnesses, Mormons, and Scientology (not that it's Christian) but outside a few books about the Reformation, little else on "protestant" curches?

Many churches talk about evangelism but tend to overlook obvious opportunities I guess.

Seems there is a phobia in the Protestant world about books other than the Bible being used to reach people for Christ.

Kind of a paradox, with so many Christian authors out there.

I'm just going by a few small town libraries, but still, if anyone was looking for information on specific churches, all there going to find is Catholic, Mormon, JW, and Scientology. As far as "mainstream" churches, maybe an occassional hymn book, that's it.
How much effort would it take for each church to put a book or two about their church or denomination in there?
