Dear Family and Friends,
As we go about the hustle and bustle of Christmas, please remember
that Jesus is the reason for Christmas. I was listening to a tape by
Cathy Tricolli and here are the following excerpts that deeply
touched my heart.
He was born in the manger but was confounding scholars by the time he
was twelve.
He never asked for special treatment nor was any red carpet rolled
out for him, but he walked on water.
There was one parade in His honor and only one but a week later the
same crowd was shouting to crucify him, on that same street.
They didn’t give him an Oscar, or a Grammy but they did give him a
crown of thorns.
He wasn’t valedictorian of his class but He was victor over death and
the grave.
He didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, but He was the Prince of Peace.
You won’t find His face on the Newsweek or the Time magazine but the
Book written about Him is the biggest seller in history.
He is not the Man of the Hour, or the month or the Year but He is the
Man for all eternity.
You won’t find Him listed in the Who’s Who, but He is listed in the
“I AM”, and the only entry to Heaven.
He is not a President or a Governor, but He is the King of Kings and
the Lord of Lords and His name is Jesus Christ.
Be assured that,
Disease doesn’t have the last say
Dead doesn’t have the last say
Immorality doesn’t have the last say
Terrorist doesn’t have the last say
Destruction doesn’t have the last say
Evil doesn’t have the last say
JESUS CHRIST will have the last say, so dear ones, GET READY TO BE
AMAZED BY OUR KING.
Heavenly Father, we love and adore You. Thank you for your son Jesus
Christ and the Great Comforter. In these trying and terrifying
times, let us be able to roll all our cares into your Sovereign
control. When the waves of fear hit us, please have Jesus calm our
body, soul and spirit just as He did the sea. We live within the
shadow of your wings and we thank you for your grace and mercy.
Amazing Love, how can this be? That my King would die for me??
