"Spirit-Sense"?

Hello, everyone. I'm interested in knowing if anyone has experienced this kind of thing--I call it an alarm because of how and when it starts; whenever I am around something that is specifically anti-God and/or of the devil, like certain message boards or web sites I used to go to, I start to get a pain in my head, like a growing headache. I also remember one time I was talking with someone who was into witchcraft and I started asking questions about that; I felt a very strong shock in my head (and steered the conversation away immediately).

I'm sure it's the Holy Spirit, guiding me away from evil--but does anyone else have experiences like this?

Actually, yeah, I have. I remember one time in specific when some friends and I were getting ready to catch a flight from Orlando to South Carolina, and then all of a sudden, I just *knew* that I had to drive back to the base (the Orlando Naval Base) to check on a friend. I tried to deny it, but it was almost a physical warning.

So I got a later flight and drove back to the base, and went to my friend's room. To this day I don't know how I got in, because the doors were key-carded, but I opened the door, and there sat my friend, a knife in his hand, held against his wrist. I jumped him and wrestled the knife away from him.

Here's the freaky part....he told me later on, once he was better (and yes, he was/is better :):) that he had specifically PRAYED for something like that to happen. A few seconds later, I walked in. :freaked

Well, just today I was focusing on something and all of the sudden I just knew that I needed to check on my 10 month old right NOW! So I immediately stopped what I was doing and looked over to see how she was, she looked fine. As I picked up some dishes around her I noticed that she was drooling and I did a finger sweep. She had a marble in her mouth, she must have found it where I couldn't see!

I thanked God knowing that He surly must have put that thought in my head!

People have different words for what you're describing. Many people that I have talked to about it were once into the occult in one form or another. (I loved mystical books about sorcery, witchcraft, etc). We agreed that having been part of that leaves a kind of "fingerprint" on your soul (one woman's words). It's kind of like - once you get burned on a hot stove, you're extra careful - or those people that can smell gasoline a mile away, etc.

Anyway, I've noticed that I seem to have extra radar about things that hint of the occult. I can physically feel it. For me, it's like a tug, like it's saying, "Come back - come back." When I feel that, I know to be wary - that something isn't right.

I don't know if you were exposed to the occult in your past? Maybe you just have an extra pronounced gift of discernment. It's a good thing - but can cause those people that don't have it to think you're nuts and seeing the devil behind every tree.

I like the name--"Spirit Sense." Get a nice costume and a comic book and you have a new catch phrase. "Spirit sense tingles." :D: In all seriousness, I am sure that many Christians have experienced this in one form or another. Twice now at the local bookstore that I work at I have felt something "tingling" if you will--once when a couple cam in asking for any books on Wiccan and today when someone came in asking about the satanic bible. Creepy people and a creepy feeling to go right along with them.

Not in my head....but in my chest....literally like in my heart.

It happens when people tell me about abuses they have suffered, or have inflicted....it happens when I hear the gospel joked about, or Jesus or Christians made fun of....so it happens everytime I watch television....in short...it happens everytime me and the sinful world come into contact with each other....and often, the only thing that will stop it is prayer and worship.
