Many people around the world watching the new millennium celebrations saw the Sydney Australia fireworks display and may have wondered what the word Eternity had to do with the celebration.

If anyone is interested, I have found a link to the story, and after reading I think that you will agree it is unique.

Feel free, you just need to remember that I am probably in a different timezone (GMT+10) and I may be slow getting back to you.

Great story. I first heard of Arthur Stace about 1971.

I think, if I remember correctly, that the wife of my Pastor at that time (Pastor Woodham) was a daughter of the Evangelist John G Ridley. It was through Ps Woodham and others that I learned of - "The Great South Land of The Holy Spirit" and prophecies and promises relating to this.

A Pastor Gerald Rowlands had been given a great vision/prophecy about this after a number of ministers had been praying and fasting for many days.(approx 1970)

Seeing you have mentioned it in your signature, I was wondering - could you shed any light on what you may know?

Thanks :)

I sorry I don't know very much. Someone told me when I was young that the word 'Australia' meant "The Great South Land of The Holy Spirit", and I have not heard any thing to refute that.

But I did find a story of how this name came about, just follow the link. The music on this page is titled "The Great South Land".

I hope this helps
