View Full Version : Can there be real healing at a Hinn service?

I asked this question in another thread, but no one has answered it as of yet.
My friend and I were talking about "preachers" like Hinn and the question came up on whether or not people can really be healed at a Hinn service.
We both tend to believe that it's very possible.
It's not that either of us necessarily believe in Hinn (actually I don't, but she's not sure about him yet), but I would think that it wouldn't matter to God what service the person maybe attending, but has everything to do with the persons faith in Him.
I was thinking about the woman with the issue of blood. It was her faith and belief that healed her, so couldn't the same happen at a Hinn service? I'm very curious about everyones opinion. I'm a fairly new Christian, so please go easy on me. :B:

Of course there could be healing at a Hinn ... service.
Now that said, that doesn't mean the origin of the Healing is of God ... or maybe it could be.
We need to remember Satan himself has the ability to inflict ... so presumably has the ability to do the opposite.
Scripture says that the actual antichrist will conduct miracles and wonderful signs ....

God heals people constantly and continually. Most times it is unrecognizable because He uses men as his tools to perform His work. It is as much of a healing work of God to use a surgeon to remove cancer as if God reached His own hand into you and removed it. All good things are from above. We fail to recognize God.
The concern I have with going to a Hinn healing service for healing is why to mr. Hinn? What does going to mr. Hinn's service do for my faith in Jesus Christ? The fact of the matter is that by going to mr Hinn I place my faith in mr Hinn's relationship to get power from God for the healing more than God Himself.
How do I know this? Because if I had faith in God I would obey His word according to healing. His word gives specific guidlines in the prayer for the sick in the local church by the elders of the local church. There is also intercession prayers of the saints that go on by fellow believers. But never, ever are we told to seek a man in a flaboyant white suit that supposedly has and in with God or supernatural healing powers of his own.
Mr. Hinn is not part of your local church. He is not an elder of your church. He is not obedient to God's specific instruction and regardless of his words his haughtiness and proud looks brings all honor and glory to himself and not God.
Without faith it is impossible to please God and in faith there is obedience to His word. Disobedience to His word is faithless.
Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

WOW! I see your point. I didn't even consider why the person would be attending a Hinn service to begin with. You're right. They're going to seek healing that could/should be done through other means. Thank you for explaining it to me.
