Not silly at all, but can you be a little more specific?

When in Scripture is an 'object' ever 'blessed'?

This may sound silly :laugh but why are ministers the only one "allowed" to bless objects? It is today a "superstition" to do such things ...

It most likely stems from thinking that someone can "recreate" miracles from that special post Pentecost period which for the most part lasted only during the period of time described in the Book of Acts of the Apostles.

Here such as this ... Act 19:11-12
(11) And God did works of power through the hands of Paul,
(12) so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin being brought onto the sick, the diseases were released, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Of course someone even tried to recreate that blessing objects thing during Paul's time. What happened? Well the Scripture goes on and tells the story ... Act 19:13-16
(13) And certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches
(14) And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
(15) But answering the evil spirit said, Jesus I know, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you?
(16) And the man in whom the evil spirit resided leaped on them, and overcoming them he was strong against them, so that they fled out of the house naked and wounded. So I think that priests which do such things should take heed ...

I think your question has more to do with generally accepted mores within the Church and the RCC than anything else. We didn't have our congregational leader pray over our house before we put up the mezuzah...and prior to its being up I don't believe our townhome was lacking blessing. It's just a symbol to remind me of Him. But I guess I'm associating with this because my wife and I put it up with some Jewish friends of ours, and then the five of us prayed and thanked the Lord for all He has done. In effect, we blessed the house. And each time I see the mezuzah I think of the blood that was put around the doorways in Egypt that Passover evening to show they were to be protected from the Angel of the Lord. I see it now as Messiah's blood which protects us, sanctifies us.

Blessings!
