books that are in the Bible as WE know it today??
There are so many other books they bypassed.
I want to know how they made their decision on what was to be allowed and what was not and why not.
Does anyone have any insight to this??
Thank you all,

A better question would be why do you think that the Catholic church was responsible for determining the canon?

It was not until the Council of Trent, in 1545 A.D., that the Roman Church the Apocrypha to the Scriptures.
Strange that the Roman Catholic Church, which claims to be "man's supreme authority and guide on earth" should have remained in ignorance for 1500 years as to whether or not these books were the inspired Word of God! :doh

I did find some interesting information online at : http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mbible1.html
One thing I did last night was pray about it. Somehow I just have a "knowing" that the Bible is the way it should be and that the books that should be in it are.
I believe it's Divinely inspired and that the ones that were left out were not.
Thanks for responding :)
