I would appreciate any input on HUMILITY and witnessing to family who of course know your faults and past mistakes.

Not to make it seem too simple, but share the simple Gospel with them. We are all sinners in need of forgiveness. Your mistakes might be brought up by them, but that can be used to your advantage. You realized your mistakes and were convicted of your sins. This is really how it must work with them too.

Its all about realizing we are unrighteous and in sin and in need of a Saviour. Use your past mistakes to point that out. Its part of your testimony!

Blessings!

Taking an active role in bringing up your own faults might be the stongest tool you have.

i found that confessing aloud all my sins to my family as PROOF of God's grace, even the ones my family would have liked to cover their ears for, was a very effective way to witness. For one, they saw my embarrassment and sorrow in my demeanor, which showed that I had a feeling of repentence about these things that was not previously seen..my acceptance of responsibility for things I would have once blamed on childhood, society, and other external forces... it denoted a change in my entire persona that had to speak of an external event effecting an internal change.

Like my tagline says, there aint a one of you or them (my family) that was/is a bigger sinner than i was. I was on par with Saul, for sure. For God to allow me to join the Kingdom PROVES that He is All-Merciful, and no one is beyond His reach. amen and amen.

One of the most powerful preachers on TV, Dr. Gerald Mann, using a confessionary style when preaching. He relates his own failures and trials and really gets God's message of love across to the dying and hurting.

It is certainly tougher to witness to family and those who know you well. I'd just like to encourage you to continue.

Remember when Jesus returned to Nazareth that his own countrymen were offended by his display of wisdom and made comments as if to say 'who does this guy think he is?'.

(Matt 13:53-58) "Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house." Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief".

Also remember the Parable of the Sower (Matt 13:1-9) Don't give up becasue God's word never goes out in vain, but accomplishes the purpose for which God sent it.

You are planting a seed. Other people may be the ones to water it.

The straight forward approach might work. Explain to them that you are quite convinced that the Lord is returning for His own quite soon.

And that it seems certain from 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 that those who enter the Tribulation period knowingly rejecting the truth of the gospel will have no further opportunity to be saved, for God will send them a strong delusion so they will believe the Devil's lie. Just as it says in the Bible.

We know of course that a great multitude will be saved during the Tribulation, but apparently these are among those who had never actually heard and rejected the truth.

Tell them that you know that "loophole" doesn't apply to them. This could very well be their last chance.

When you have come to know him and truly have repented your sins and are willing to do what ever his will is then you have humbled yourself as did accusers and the woman alike. They could not judge because they to had sinned and because Jesus had saved her she repented her sin and served him out of love and gratitude. So the point is if jesus can forgive you so can and should your family forgive you and if they wish to judge let them also remember everytime they take his name in vain lie or even look at a memeber of the oppiste sex in lust they commit adultry accoriding to scripture So if they want to be forgiven for thier own sins they must also learn to foirgive and not judge you for yours but you can only ask this if you have truly repented and asked Jersus to some into your life as saviour. If you have and are making yourself right with Him then it will show in your words actions and deeds and if the family cannot forgive and not judge you according to your past life then it is thier loss on earth and in heaven for your new life that you have recieved

Easy

Jhn 8:1 BUT Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
Jhn 8:2 Now early* in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.
Jhn 8:3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst,
Jhn 8:4 they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught* in adultery, in the very act.
Jhn 8:5 "Now Moses, in the law, commanded* us that such should be stoned.* But what do You say?"*
Jhn 8:6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.*
Jhn 8:7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up* and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."
Jhn 8:8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
Jhn 8:9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience,* went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Jhn 8:10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her,* "Woman, where are those accusers of yours?* Has no one condemned you?"
Jhn 8:11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and* sin no more."

AND

Luk 7:37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil,
Luk 7:38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.
Luk 7:39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, "This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner."
Luk 7:40 And Jesus answered and said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." So he said, "Teacher, say it."
Luk 7:41 "There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
Luk 7:42 "And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?"
Luk 7:43 Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more." And He said to him, "You have rightly judged."
Luk 7:44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head.
Luk 7:45 "You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in.
Luk 7:46 "You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil.
Luk 7:47 "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."
Luk 7:48 Then He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."

Thank you for your imput, I have applied these principles but, it just seems to me that their hearts are hard. The veil is over their eyes and they refuse to see. Prayer helps a great deal. And I realize that it will be in Holy God's timing. I have been trying to appeal to their hearts and not so much on the emotion.
It means a lot to me your imput and I appreciate all of you.

Is there a bible study on humility?

4fish, great advice!

Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

This is why simply sharing the word of the Gospel is important. It allows God to do His thang. Just sow the word....God will do the rest. Don't loose heart Ga Stormspotter. Like 4fish says, your part might only be planting seeds, someone else years down the road might water it some, and later someone else might till the soil a bit, until the seed finally takes root. Gods word is a powerful powerful thing. Just sow it.

Blessings!

OT Verses searched for word "Humble" . Basically, humble heartedness was required by God for Him to act to uplift the people out of troubles after sinning, just like the bookend to pride going before a fall. ('humility' only brough 2 proverbs)
Ex:10:3: And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.
