Hey guys. I don't often come to this forum, but have a question or two.
I've never been one to put much stock in dreams; I've read alot of odd dreams on other boards that I sometimes couldn't reconcile their "points" with Scripture. So I kinda dismissed them - or at least most of them.
My son was saved when he was about 6 years old. He's 20 now & for the past 3 years went through drug abuse (xanax), alcohol, 2 rehabs, 3 arrests - that sorta bad thing. Trust me, it was really bad, but he's still alive & there's always hope in that.
The Lord really sustained & comforted us & taught us to rely more on Him, but this isn't the point of this post.
My son had a dream this week. He said he'd been raptured, was standing in heaven, but not standing on anything, but more like "hovering" on a cloud.
He saw the Lord in front of him and he described Him almost to a T, as in Rev 4, i.e.with the rainbow, lightnings & thunderings & voices around the Lord, Who was in a white flowing robe, "kinda like satin", with a very long "train-type-thing" behind him. (now a 20 year old describing a "train"??!?)
He said he stepped to the side, (he knew there was no solid surface beneath his feet, mind you) because he heard a large crowd behind the Lord, of about many millions of men, who all looked like a warriors.
He then noticed that he was "bulked up" like a warrior, with a spike-thing coming out of both sides of his forearms. He was alarmed & was going to try to remove them; grabbed ahold of them but they didn't hurt & then he knew that he had been "equipped" with them. (!?)
He was then given a choice to fight with those men, on their "mission", or to fight on earth. He chose to go to earth to fight & immediately found himself flying down to the earth, saw that he was headed to North America (clearly could see & FEEL this - the wind rushing by).
Got to the earth, was flying above the streets; noticed the grass was green but it was dark. He noticed people, who he knew were "evil", and they all had a mark on their right hands. Now, I'm not saying this is NOT the mark of the beast, mind you, but he drew the mark he saw on a piece of paper. He has never seen this mark before & said it was very clear to him when he saw it.

I got online last night, finally traced this down, and its an occultic symbol that's called "Awen". One website said, (and this is ALL OCCULTIC, ok?) that the Awen represents "3 different paths that lead to the One". In Celtic it means "inspiration". "Awen refers to spiritual illumination". (As NEW AGE as it comes). Its the "single most important symbol in all Druidism." Its "used in Satanic rituals." It is the "earliest symbol to represent Druidism." You're getting the picture....very satanic.
He then heard this loud "buzzing-type sound" coming from the sky & could see these beasts-things headed toward the earth. Without hesitation he began flying up to fight these, noticed that other "warrior-type men" like him were doing the same. He said he wasn't afraid & knew they would win.
This is where he woke up.
He then told me that for the past 6 months or so, he's been praying, asking the Lord to show him what his "purpose was".
I didn't dismiss his dream at all and still don't. I told him that I knew that God wanted him to study His Word, to honor Him & to be obedient to Christ. And that if someday after Rapture, that this was his purpose, to be part of the army (Rev 9 & 19), then that was good.
He was very comforted by this dream & hopefully he'll be obedient to the Lord.
What say you?? I know this is long, but please, I need your 2 cents worth. Advice is wanted.
