My Abba's Child

I've just become aware of a free Bible study software called e-sword. Before I downloaded it onto my computer I figured I'd better stop and see if anyone else has experience with this software.
Anyone have any testimonials, bug reports, virus reports, etc... on this? :wave

In His love,Hi Diana, E-sword is great. I use it more than my Logos system for quick reference.

It's great! If you drop me a line, I can send you a CD with every e-sword module, The Sword Project, ISA and some others.

Works good. I have not played with all the features, but I believe you cannot pull scripture out without the references being displayed. Sort of annoying to me anyway. Thats the only "issue" I have seen, which ain't much. Great for study. :thumb

If you are speaking of the KJV with Strong's as being the 'references', you can also download a copy of the KJV without Strong's. You can copy from that without 'references'. There are many Bible translations available there. Just go to the Download page and then click on Bibles.
Abba's child. I have been using this software for years and it is wonderful. It will not harm your computer and it rivals even the most expensive Bible Software.

I paid for the CD version. A huge amount of extras are included, and its a ministry worth supporting.

Hootmon, All those things are available for download from the website and even more than that. If you read Rick's message on the donation page, he states that the resources have grown to large for 1 CD and thus all the downloads are not included on the CD anymore. Be sure to check out the webpage and see what you might be missing!

Still, downloading 700MB is a bit excessive, and his ministry deserves to be supported.

I agree. I also have the CD and try to send a little money whenever an update comes out. I was just letting you know there was more there in case you didn't realize it! Glad you know. There is some awesome stuff there. Oh and BTW, I can get all that downloaded in about 30 minutes! (the wonders of cable internet!)

If I had to go back to using web Bibles from what I do now in e-Sword, it would seem like a huge step backward.
I did the on-line tutorials. There are all sorts of tricks you can learn to using e-Sword that aren't strictly intuitive. If you haven't done the tutorials I would recommend them.
