THE DIVINE COMMISSION
By Bill Burns

October 8, 2004

Today, October 8, is the eighth day of assembly known as the Feast of Conclusion, which follows the seven days of Tabernacle (Succoth). The eighth day symbolizes one's removal from the cares of this world. It is a time when one enters the secret place in communion with the Lord. The eighth day is a day in which what was hidden is revealed.

It is a day when God's people rejoice over the prophetic word of the Lord and rejoice that Jesus Christ is still speaking to His Church. It is also a time in which the season that is behind us is brought to a conclusion.

The number eight signifies a time of new beginnings.

Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them."

The Conclusion of the Former Season

It is interesting to me that God chose to birth the Third Day Church just prior to the presidential election that took place in 2000. The new term for the office of President began during the first year of the Third Day Church. This year brings the four-year term to a conclusion.

We are living in the end of the age when the remaining prophetic events outlined in the scriptures will come to a conclusion. For this reason the political and spiritual activity that takes place will be interconnected. This is why I believe that the beginning of the Third Day Church coincided with the beginning of the presidential term.

American experienced strong "Christian" political leadership under Ronald Reagan and George Bush, Sr. However, the people wanted a king rather than a spiritual person in office. The desire of the people (majority) wanted a king who could give them wealth ("It's the economy, Stupid!") rather than to continue under "righteous authority." So, the Lord gave the people what they wanted; He gave them a Saul (Clinton). The eight years of Clinton produced a tremendous moral decline in this country because the leadership was immoral.

The Lord then birthed the Third Day Church, which began to cry out to God for righteous leadership, and the light of a burning Bush was given to the people. It is God who establishes leaders, and it is God who removes them (Daniel 2:21). The outcome of the last election was settled by the Supreme Court, which was ruled over by a higher court, the court of the Lord.

Bill Clinton began in 1993 establishing the leadership of Saul, but the Lord began to spiritually raise up the Tabernacle of David in America in 1996 (Acts 15:16). The spiritual warfare of the Church in the spirit of David defeated the giant of unrighteous mammon, and God gave America a Bush that receives His light (wisdom).

The spiritual and political connection of these last days was revealed in the first year of Bush's presidency on September 11, 2001. Just prior to the Feast of Trumpets the towers that the prophet Isaiah saw fell.

Isaiah 30:25 There will be on every high mountain And on every high hill Rivers and streams of waters, In the day of the great slaughter, When the towers fall.

In the day that the towers fell the streams of living water were already flowing from David's house (Zion). The Third Day Church released a new flow of living (prophetic) water that was coming to the nations.

The towers did not fall because of President Bush's service; they fell because of Saul's transgressions. The biblical account of a similar transgression is recorded in 2 Samuel chapter 21. The famine that David experienced for three years was because of Saul's mistreatment of the Gibeonites. Joshua had made a covenant with the Gibeonites, which Saul broke.

Those who are not spiritually minded declare that Iraq had no connection to the fall of the twin towers, but before Isaiah's prophecy in chapter 30 he spoke these words:

Isaiah 23:13 Behold, the land of the Chaldeans, This people which was not; Assyria founded it for wild beasts of the desert. They set up its towers, They raised up its palaces, And brought it to ruin.
14 Wail, you ships of Tarshish! For your strength is laid waste.

Babylon is the land of the Chaldeans, and Babylon is in present-day Iraq. But, material Babylon is not confined to Iraq; it is a society that loves material wealth (read Revelation chapter 18).

President Bush was divinely led to invade Iraq because it was the very action that set the prophetic events of the last days in motion. Isaiah refers to the ships of Tarshish; Ezekiel also identifies the merchants of Tarshish (America) in chapter 38 verse 13. These are the young lions that stand with Israel in the days of the fulfilling of Ezekiel's prophecy.

The Prophetic Sign -- Florida

The last election was decided by Florida, and that is why the enemy (Satan) has brought such destruction to Florida. Florida's part in the election gave George Bush four years in the "White" House, which is to be a place of righteousness. This is why this year (2004) four hurricanes have struck Florida. It is as though the enemy sent four ill winds, one for each year that President Bush has served. It is the enemy's statement to tell America that he does not want four more years of President Bush's leadership, and it is his threat of more destruction if Bush remains in office.

The Divine Commission

Last year on the Feast of Conclusion I released a prophetic word entitled "The Eighth Day" (http://mail1.icptrack.com/track/relay.pl?r=811469387&msgid=53371&act=X&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fft111.com%2Feighthday.htm). In that writing I finished the message with the title of "The Divine Commission." I wrote that the Church must spiritually support the President if we want this nation (as a whole) to experience God's blessings.

I believe that the Lord wants to give America eight years of righteous leadership to offset the eight years of unrighteous leadership under "Saul."

When seeking the Lord as to whether the President would be re-elected, He referred me to:

2 Chronicles 7:14 "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 "Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

I believe that God's people (His Church) will pray that America will be healed from corruption so that President Bush will be re-elected. And, if we rise to the occasion in this war for the soul(s) of America, the Lord will again establish President Bush and give him as a light to the nations.

The Enemy

A principality that Bob Jones first encountered in 1996 called the "Basilisk" is seeking to bring destruction to America. I believe that it was this spirit that brought four ill winds of destruction against this nation just prior to the elections.

This spirit will also try to drive a wedge of separation between Israel and America. This work has already begun, and it is the reason some churches have turned away from Israel to support the Palestinian cause. President Bush is a strong supporter of Israel, so the Basilisk spirit is trying to remove him from office.

The true Church must rise up and engage this principality in spiritual warfare. These next four years are extremely critical for the Church and for America. If unrighteousness is re-established in the White House, American will experience the judgment of the Lord. If righteousness prevails, God's hedge of protection will once again be established over this land. (See "The Hedge Has Been Removed" http://mail1.icptrack.com/track/relay.pl?r=811469387&msgid=53371&act=X&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fft111.com%2Fhedge.htm).

Isaiah 62:3 You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God.
4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the LORD delights in you, And your land shall be married.

The Year 2005

The year 2005 will be a year of continued "great grace" (empowerment) for those who by faith access it. Romans 5:2 tells us that "we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand." Those who believe this statement in the word of God will receive the anointing of great grace (resurrection power) in this season. Five (2005) is the number of divine grace, and it shall come to us through the oil (anointing) of this year.

The oil of this season is Spikenard, which represents resurrection power that comes through intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This relationship produces exuberant adoration and brings forth extravagant worship. This anointing will produce kingdom life, which will be demonstrated in deliverance and healing.

Psalm 25

Psalm 25 is the Psalm for 2005. This Psalm promises victory over our enemies for those who cry out to the Lord for His truth and justice.

Psalm 25:1 To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me.

Psalm 25:9 The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.
10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

Psalm 25:12 Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.
13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth.
14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.
15 My eyes are ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

This will be a year of liberty and prosperity for the true worshipers of the Lord, those who worship in "spirit and in truth."

The Young Eagles

2005 will be a year that the young eagles begin to spread their wings and take flight. A changing of the guard is about to take place in the prophetic community (see http://mail1.icptrack.com/track/relay.pl?r=811469387&msgid=53371&act=X&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fft111.com%2Fdayoftheeagle.htm).

The spirit of "self-exaltation) has become rooted in the prophetic ranks, and God will not stand for it. The Lord has had His young eagles in a place of preparation, and they will now be released. The prophetic word that comes forth from the young eagles will be powerful and revealing with regard to the season that we are now living in.

These are the things that I was give to share at this time. My greatest concern is that the Church rise up in this month and take the victory. October is a harvest month. If we fight the good fight of faith, then the harvest will be protected. If we don't, the harvest will be stolen by the enemy.

We are living at the end of the age. These are perilous times, critical times, and yet the greatest times of all for those who serve the Master. May we each arise to the fullest of our spiritual potential in these days.

Isaiah 48:6 "You have heard; See all this. And will you not declare it? I have made you hear new things from this time, Even hidden things, and you did not know them."

May the Lord richly bless you in this season as you wait upon Him for guidance.

Psalm 25:20 Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.

ChildofGodseekn, when so called prophets start talking about third day and new thing etc we need to carefully check what they are saying. Would you consider going to this link to read the article about this doctrine and tell me what you think http://www.banner.org.uk/res/theglory5.html
Please don't think that I am getting at you, I guess I just really don't understand why you posted what you did.

Child :hug

It's ok - you don't have to ask forgiveness and please don't stop sharing. The only way we learn is by being open with each other. Ask the Lord to give you a spirit of discernment and then just wait upon Him.

we weren't trying to criticize you. A lot of things in that article sounded reasonable especially if you have been in a church that teaches that theology. The problem is that it doesn't stack up with the Scriptures.
