We had a guest speaker at church Sunday! Our Pastor and his family were on (a much deserved) vacation.
The guest speaker,an evangualist pastor, told us of a personal, heartwarming story which happened to him recently. It touched my heart so much, I wanted to share it with all here!!
He was on the ranch with his 3 1/2 year old grandaughter. He was driving up the small road on the ranch. There is a bridge up ahead, in which he was headed towards. But he need to get out of the truck and walk back to close a gate(I think it was) and move some cattle.
He hears a noise and turns to see his truck moving toward the bridge. My word!! he exclaimed, his grandaughter had moved the gear shift!!! With his distance and the speed of the truck moving a downward slope toward the bridge, he new he was not going to make it to the truck in time. He shouted to the Lord Jesus.."Please Lord, Help me!!!" The truck went over the bridge and 20 ' drop. The truck toppled over, and front end down into the water.
The man reached the truck and went in to find his grandaughter, with her head bobbing above the water. He retrieved her and called the police.
The little child was o.k. she had a mere light surface scratch on her chin and that was all! The police arrived.. the pastor told the police what happened, and said; "Thank the Lord for saving this child"... the police officer said.. Praise God for His mighty work!!" ..he was a Christian also!!
That evening, the pastors daughter ask her father if he new what the child was talking about and he said no. He went to his grandaughters house and he ask his grandaughter..."What were you saying about the accident?"
The little child looked her grandfather in the eyes and said; "Pa pa, Jesus was in the water with me, did you see Him? He was holding me up in the water. You saw Him didn't you?"
Of course Pa pa said..."I didn't see Him but I know He was there!!" :cry :hail
