Has anyone ever considered that perhaps the enormous amounts of information we receive everyday is not necessarily a "good thing"?

Numbers 11:Num 11:18 And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
Num 11:19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
Num 11:20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?

Ecclesiastes 1:18

For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

Daniel 12:4

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Yes, I agree.

Our financial markets will be one day controlled by this so called “knowledge” that has increased, and continues to increase daily, (example: RFID tags) leading up to, and allowing, literally one person to control the “buying & selling” of the world.

Truly phenomenal!

I've wondered why we have those strips on the back of our postal badges. I wonder if postal management has them on their golf clubs.

Hey! I got a tell ya’ this...I needed a new badge, so I went up to our training room to receive one, and by scanning the old badge, I saw on the computer a list, that goes back about 90 days detailing every time it was used.

It showed which door I entered in, and at what time, along with my personal information (SSN and such) as well as having the info sent immediately to a private Intranet within the Post Office, which can be accessed by any terminal.

It also “red flags” your name if you ( or someone using your badge) entered a doorway too many times in a given day.

*gotta try this once*

All great points.

But to me, it's becoming quite obvious that we are (as regular everyday folks) given way more "knowledge" than we could ever do anything with, or about. It is, as I say, coming out our noses, wasted and good for nothing but as an attempt to steal away our peace. It is the reason why terror works so well today. And I believe the media is complicit with terrorism. If not for them, there might be very little effects of what we call, "terrorism" today.

It is the means of what Jesus referred to;

Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:...........

I know this is only gonna get worse........but seems to me, it is bad enough already.

I feel that it is another fulfillment of prophecy as someone pointed out earlier in Daniel 12:4 and yes it will only get worse.Look at how fast computers are getting at processing information and this figure doubles every so many months.To me it is something to get excited about because of its prophetic value,but it will lead the world into the tribulation because it is the necesarry factor needed to fulfill most events.just my 2 cents worth.Maybe when knowledge increases enough they will put a "cent" symbol on keyboards(lol)!

:D: Indeed, this techonology is not "new". However it still relies on humans doing something with the data.

You know really I think it could be in fulfillment of scripture. But when we look at in context, it seems that it is knowledge of what was sealed up. The book of Revelations could actually be seen as the fulfillment of that verse in Daniel.

Just a thought.

Same Hebrew word is used here;

Pro 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Hos 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
